First off if all this info is described somewhere then a reference to that would be greatly appreciated and this thread may be ignored. Otherwise here goes……..

I finished the Honor of the Waves Dungeon Track last night (all 40 levels). I was thinking the end of this would be some super reward but the 1 piece of dungeon armor was pretty disappointing. Oh well no biggie. It says I have 3 days 16 hours etc to finish it but I just finished it.

Should I start another track? I selected Maguuma Wastes Reward Track (I haven’t started along it yet). I see there’s no countdown to finish it. What is prompting the countdowns to start and is there an advantageous time to start it or another one considering the current one is finished?

Next question is I only started (really re-started) doing WvW because I need Memories of Battle for legendary crafting. The first few tiers of Honor of the Waves Reward Track gave me some but the last few didn’t. It looks like this is the only way of getting Memories of Battle. What’s really the most efficient way of earning Memories of Battle?

Is there really some ultimate point to doing the Reward Tracks or is it just about the periodic reward chests spaced as you slowly progress?

Thanks.

Well being only a wvw player here, the reward tracks have actually made me quite a bit of gold. The rewards in WvW were almost nothing before these reward tracks so it just helps us WvW players receive something. The countdown on reward tracks is because they rotate some in and out. Also they help you complete collections if you’re into that kind of thing. They removed the memories of battles from rank up chests so reward tracks are the only way I know as of now… buy them now before they go further up in price.

If that’s true then once you complete all the Reward Tracks the only way to get Memories of Battle is through TP.

Here’s a math -

If you have 8 hour of gameplay in WvW. Then eight time sixty [8×60 = 480.], you spends around 480 minutes in there. If you maintains constant maximum participation for 480 minutes. You’ll also need to do the math to see how many points you scored.

It takes around 14 minutes for the scores to tick. So 480 divided by 14 equals 34. Now that we secured 34 ticks. We’ll now proceed.

At maximum participation, you get 575 WvW point. 34 time 575 equals 19,550. You’ll secured around 19.5k participation point toward a reward track.

Now we’re not exactly done, the reward track is about 25k participation point to be completed. You’ll only be able to finish later. Of course the WvW reward track helps players away from having to do PvE content such as dungeons, or relativity of it. It encourages players to do WvW some more.

They’re just experimenting, and so far, it’s doing great! Of course to get 25k participation points; You would need 10 hours, and 30 minutes. There you go. :P

Most of the tracks you can repeat, if you had done their PvE conterpart, of course. Now have fun.

You can repeat most of the reward tracks, the triumph reward track rewards you with memories of battle, and is repeatable

Reward tracks are for WvW players to acquire things they’d have to pve for. It’s only natural the original channel of dungeons is more efficient than getting that stuff, but on the other hand it’s probably easier to grind out wvw reward tracks than to grind dungeons depending on how much you care.

Basically, you should target whatever content you won’t be normally playing.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
