RIP AR, ET, IoJ, Kain, SoR, BP (maybe more, but at least these servers)…

If you can’t see their tags, either as friend or foe, they’re going to lose all their identity. And yes, theoretically, Anet can unlink and merge differently, but let’s be honest, they’re not going to bother.

The last thing wvw/ and those servers needed was for people to be unable to play, or to have another reason not to bother with wvw. This needs to be fixed quickly, link some of the lower population servers to boost their populations but let them keep the playstyle they prefer without having it altered to much. WvW cannot all be like t1, there needs to be different homes for people who prefer different playstyles.

That’s ok big servers, we’ll just head to the kiddie table…. EotM FTL

2224 wxp at this point going to waste.. I hate blobs as it is… and definitely did not want to wait beyond the 20 minutes I had already waited just to join a blob so I have put ALL of my WvW siege away in the bank and freed up a lot of space. Extra wvw gear etc all stored. If ANet puts it back the way it was I will go back. If it stays this way I will NOT play WvW again. It’s not a threat, warning, or whine, it just is what it is for me. This set up is NOT fun for me so I’m off to find some fun elsewhere. It might even be in a different game but so far I have fellow guildies that I can have a bit of fun PvEing with.

If most people want this then all the power to them.. but I suspect that a lot of good people will stop playing WvW due to this total lack of thinking ( in my opinion ).

Yeah, last thing I wanted to see when I logged in was AR getting tossed in with T1. Time to hang up the bow.

I feel like they should have just done server alliances with the bottom T5-T8 servers rather then combine 12 servers with 12 servers. Logged in to check queues and YB/AR was queued 150 with 60 on each borderland. Obviously doesn’t affect YB cause I can only assume YB has their resets like this (assumption from a t8 player) but as a player on AR the 150 queue sucks for us cause we can’t hop into WvW at any time like we are normally use to.

ET has no intention of going RIP.

I knew you all were going to be shocked with the queues. To be fair, YB wasn’t seeing those queues in ages, just only after the patch. I’d imagine that was true everywhere but TC.

The total loss of identity sucks as well – not only does your server not show, but your glicko is no longer being updated either (according to the official link thread).

I agree, the naming thing is bullkitten.

But you really should stay your judgement regarding the blobs / queues. For obvious reasons tonight was very special.

A lot of the issues could be taken care of if the linking/merges changed from week to week, but from what the devs are saying, that’d take more effort than they’re willing to put in.

So, I woke up this morning to see…my community was gone. The place that I happily had called home, Devona’s Rest had been demolished. In the place of my sleepy yet thriving little village, was a cold characterless T1 city, where every coffee shop was a Starbucks, and every restaurant an Applebees.

ANET – Why in the heck would you gentrify entire guild communities, when what you should want to do is increase your games population and exposure to all types of WvW gamer’s?

In one move you have destroyed entire Guild Wars 2 gaming communities, people who have invested time and money to organize their groups into legitimate guilds. To those of us who were just fine with your previous round of changes, those of us who were able to evolve, survive and thrive in the Desert Borderlands without whining about how hard it was…you have rewarded us with…T1 blobbing and social mendacity.

I understand that as developers, you will never be able to make everyone happy, but how bout you try to find a nice middle ground? Not everyone likes to play in armies of 60 or more mobs, running over the map like a pack of rabid hamsters. Some of us like to use finesse, and strategy. Oh! And some of us aren’t living in our parents basement with all the time in the world for a game queue.

I guess snowballing 4 maps with no resistance is more to your liking? Give it some time for them to find the middle ground. That’s why I don’t WvW on DR anymore, I’m not a WXP kitten, lol.

Last night we looked for and could not find a single person from SoR on Tcbll in aleast the first hour of reset. Que times should settle down the rest of the week, but don’t plan on playing in EBG during prime hours. And you lower tier guys better get use to playing the bl’s

My IoJ account doesn’t enjoy the crazy lag it’s getting, but I understand that this is only their first attempt at this and I understand that there are other factors as well. People need to stop being drama queens. It’s reset after a lot of changes to wvw, there will always be extra activity after a patch. And it’s also a beta, if enough people on T6-T8 prefer being linked to other T6-T8 servers and asks for it in a polite way, they will probably try that.

It’s more work to change it every week indefinitely because it’s a manual process to link the servers. But currently they are effectively linking biggest servers with smallest servers, they could change that way of approaching it if enough people ask for it and maybe make it so that small servers get linked together and matched up against each other. That’s why it’s a BETA. People need to learn to give feedback in a less whiny overdramatic way.
