Yep. I was rank 892 when I got my first ascended.
Rank 999 when I got my first and only ascended chest/item… 1,059 now and in all my ranks I’ve gotten a handfull of exotics a ton of rares and a million greens and blues.
Some people get lucky and get a lot of ascended chests/items even at early ranks. It’s just RNG so thank your stars you’ve gotten the drops you have. I curse ANet with every rank I don’t get at least a rare at this point but, hey.. Loot is only half the fun anyway.
