I don’t know if this is a good or bad idea i just know that i don’t want to face lower tier servers. It would be no fun for any one, I’m on JQ now.

If Anet is going to do this i think the 24 hour matches that have been suggested by others is the way to go. If the lower tier servers that were complaining , and rightfully so, after facing kaineng had to face SoS, BG, JQ, etc … Nothing good will come of it.

I do like the thought of facing Kaineng on the server I’m on now though. I faced them on a server that had trouble getting 50 people total in the BL’s. Would love to repay Kaineng for that terribly frustrating experience. lol

Sure that’s fair for Elona as an example especially since they benefits a lot from free transfers.

Basically Anet wants nobody to have fun in WvW for a couple months.

Give it a chance. We’ll see what happens next week. If you are really hardcore with competition, this shouldn’t bother you at all. Why? Because you know you’ll still end up at tier 1 eventually.

And what’s good is you get to fight more even maches; so there will be no facerolling, but using of good strategy.

It is not about ending up in tier 1 eventually. We do not want to PvDoor for one month or even more to find a decent match. We already have matchups relatively even(while the overall scores might not say so) that offer great fights on a daily basis.

I find it amusing that most of the bellyaching is coming from SoR when in all likelihood the SoR-TC-SBI match is one of the main reasons for this shuffle.

Probably has more to do with the stacking that took place just prior to and just after the Jan 28 patch announcement.

SOR’s stacking was more recent, and it certainly isn’t the only server that got a huge influx of guilds.

I think the real irony would be if the tiers were deliberately thrown into turmoil just as they were stabilising.

I think this is exactly what will happen. (unless I misunderstand Anet’s plans)

Anything less than short term matchups(like at launch) will end up hurting the rankings more than they’ll help.

They are still keeping the same match ups I thought, so SoR would be against JQ and either BG or SoS which would in a sense be the first tier one matchup for the new ratings.

Just be ready for all the hatred towards BG/SoS/JQ/SoR as they smash their way back to T1 again after a couple weeks. It will be fun to fight new opponents. JQ rarely gets to fight anyone “new!” We love to stab new people and break their stuff!

I can say all of the big 4 are looking forward to fighting with Kain though =)

I’d personally like to smash TC a little at some point, for some reason. TC has some hibs I know that need a good shanking!!

Yes they are, the results of this week will determine who is fighting who next week (so JQ v SOR v SOS/BG will be the next matchup)

But all the server’s get a rating reset so even though JQ/SOR/(SOS or BG) will be fighting each other next week every server will be tied for first.

I.E. Technically no tier 1. Although I assume most will agree SOR made it to T1 despite this technicality.

Anet is kitten-blocking you (SOR) in a sense.

And the real kicker is the 2 servers fighting SOR next week will most likely be very even so their rank wont rise/fall by much. The low tier stacked servers can blow out their matches and will make huge gains meaning all the current T1 capable servers will most likely be T2-4 the week after.
