Guild Wars 2

First I must say that I really like the concept of WvWvW. It is really fun when everyone is working together and trying to achieve the same goal.

But it is hard to really enjoy WvWvW right now.

#1. During peak hours, you will be in queue for hours on end just to join any battleground

#2. After the first few days of WvWvW if the server thinks that they can’t win then nobody tries anymore. Resulting in nobody doing WvWvW. I’ve jumped into borderlands before where there was no green dots at all

I don’t know how you can fix #1, but for #2, we need some sort of rallying system. Something to entice people to join and fight back. It really isn’t fun fighting against a server that outnumbers you probably 20:1. While getting the outnumbered buff is great and all, you still can’t kill anyone if you are that badly outnumbered.

So the issue is at times there are too many people and you can’t play and other times there are too few people and you can’t play. I wish I can enjoy WvWvW at whatever time of the day and whenever I play. It is hard right now with the current system.

Server transfer, Guild Wars 2 allows free transfers to opposing team and they encourage you to use it. I think it’s supposed to balance itself out by the zerg servers absorbing more active players and eventually creating stronger competition in higher brackets.

I sympathize with the OP. My server had it rough the first 2 weeks and there was no incentive to even try near the end of each week because less and less people would show up. This week the tables have turned and so far we’re the dominant server in our bracket. The other two servers are starting to thin out already and we’re not even to the half way point in the week. So it’s no fun being on the winning side either. Perhaps they should break the week up into 2 or 3 separate matches, doing a reset each time.

stop free world transfer please, this is ruining all the fun! It’s so easy to abuse it, like it is now!

I do think free world transfer is an issue but even if we stopped free world transfer, I still think we have huge issues with WvWvW most of the time.

This is a big problem that ANET needs to figure out how to solve. Friday night… can’t get in. Saturday night… can’t get in. Sunday, well we can’t win so why try?
