So let me explain why this bug occurred in the first place and what exactly caused it.

There are 2 scenarios here:
Scenario 1: Player completed their Meta achievement prior to the Megaserver patch.

The reward for this meta is based upon your server ranking during the week you completed you meta.
Everyone in the above scenario did not receive their chest.
Edit: A subset of players from Scenario 1 din’t get their chest.

Scenario 2: Player completed their Meta achievement after the Megaserver patch.

These are the players that received the correct chest based on their server rank at the end of the tournament.

Now I will let you digest the above.

Now so we can help the devs fix this issue in a timely manner, please post if you are an exception to either of the above scenarios.
But I am almost a 100% sure that the real culprit that caused the bug was “Megaservers”

I don’t think this is the case. My friend and I finished the meta before the megaserver patch and he got the rewards, while I did not.

The only other thing worth mentioning was that I was affected by the daily reset bug, while he wasn’t. I have a hunch that the problem is bigger than WvW.

Are you absolutely sure that your friend completed the meta prior to the patch?
Could it be possible that he was partially done?

I ran the above scenarios by nearly 150+ players and no one who completed the meta prior to the Megaserver patch got their chest.

I finished before mega servers and got the correct chest.

Yeah, I’m really sure. We were both running the same maps at the same time and completed it at the same day. I even remember that we completed it in the borderlands.

So a subset of the players in Scenario 1 dint get the chest in that case.

Sorry but your Scenario’s would of both made for much higher numbers been without rewards. As for myself i did meta within about 3 days so long before patch and other people i know finished it in the last week and they have the chest. Everyone i know that has the reward has never changed server. IMO it may have to do with server association not updating or been read correctly by the program.

So in other words, you fit in Scenario 1 and you dint get the reward – confirms Scenario 1.

Your friends completed the meta after the Megaserver patch – confirms Scenario 2.

Edit: To add to the comment regarding switching servers.
I have guildies who never switched servers and still got their chest since they completed their meta after the Megaserver patch (Scenario 2)
So switching servers or not – was not the reason for the existence of this bug.
