My build is definitely not min/maxed

Luckily for reflections, its mostly about durability and damage between reflections.
Mesmer – FURY
Rank 55 – Bunker Engi, Top 300
I’m just gonna post a screen because I’m too lazy to type mine out.
It should also be noted that this build is not meant for zerging.
Edit: with full corruption stacks and food buffs, cond damage would be around 1400

I’m curious too what stats other rangers run with. I feel squishy whenever I run my ranger in wvw, but that’s probably because I’m too used to running guardian.
Profession: Ranger
Vitality/Hit points: 1080/16,722
Power: 1126
Precision: 995
Toughness: 2028
Crit%/CritDmg: 8%/4%
Condition Damage: 1019
Profession: Guardian
Vitality/Hit points: 2061/22,255
Power: 1855
Precision: 1121
Toughness: 2100
Crit%/CritDmg: 14%/30%
Condition Damage: 100
I’ll keep this limited to my med armors. They are both set up for small team/roaming atm. Thief is power, Eng is mostly cond (boon duration). I run a similar set with undead runes instead for zerging on my eng. No food/sigil stacks/WvW buffs on either.

Rangers require Healing Power to not feel squishy.

This is without food/oil but with Signet of stone. It’s a mix of Orange and Yellow pieces, mostly yellow (First 80 and all that). It’s all Invaders(Or Soldiers I guess), but I put Ruby gems into my 6 trinket/accessory pieces. I try to fill the crit holes with food, oil and Sigil’s of Perception, but I’m still fairly subpar when compared to someone going full zerk.
Profession : Ranger
Vitality/Hit points : 1478 / 22,358
Power : 3083
Precision : 1365
Toughness : 2893
Crit%/CritDmg : 25% / 32%
I should get a fair bit more Crit Damage as soon as I get armor runes that don’t blow chunks. (Rune of the Ranger is like 2 gold each, Rune of Rata Sum was like 2 silver though!) With a full sigil stack, food/oil and fury up, I will end up with 60-70% crit chance at least.
Unbuffed stats from my harder to kill class/builds, but keep in mind survivability is only partially stat based. Just as important is the trait lines chosen and most important player skill. Also left out Healing Power on the request which is important for many bunker builds. Boon duration can also be really important.

Power : 1059
Precision : 930
Toughness : 1979
Healing Power: 1293

For my Ranger, exotic armor and weapons – rare trinkets
Vitality/Hitpoints : 1840 / 24322
Power : 1878
Prec : 916
Toughness: 1896
Crit% / CritDmg : 10% / 0%
I run with Spirit traits and 3 spirits full time, really useful to group buffs, 70% chance on hit for +10% dam, Burning and Protection. Roll long and short bow for style, not effectiveness but use Sigil of Geomancy for extra bleeds. Don’t solo much but 3v? a bit or run zerg and roll through and back with commander. When running from A to B I swapout a spirit for 25% swiftness.
Necro
Vitality / Hitpoints : 2003 / 29242
Power : 1741
Prec : 948
Toughness : 1215
Crit% / CritDmg : 10% / 20%
All exotic gear and ascended amulet. Traited to generate Life Force and reduce Life Force spent. Massive bag generator and use Dagger/Dagger with 25% swiftness traits to get up close and personal despite being a clothie.
I use this to farm the hundreds of thieves in wvw. Works amazingly for 1v1 but don’t even bother zerging, it has nothing useful for that.

Best pet name ever.

My Ranger’s something over 24,000 hp… 1700 tough I think… Whatever’s left is Giver’s/Valk’s gear for perma swift/regen. 1500 pow/prec at best :\
…Only thing I run in WvW b/c I’m only there to shuttle supply usually and pick off other rangers worse than me. I can’t remember the last ranger I saw who was actually a threat. They’re just dreadful and can’t seem to hurt me even with zerkers, or they’re a bit tougher but even more useless than me b/c they don’t have the coordination to rotate the Sword/Greatsword leaps to get between camps faster… bow Zerkers make me facepalm the hardest though b/c many of them don’t even seem to UNDERSTAND what that Whirling Defense animation means … like they’ve honestly never seen or tried it before. Come to think of it, that’s the ONLY kind of ranger I keep seeing in the 4th tier >:p
Basically it doesn’t matter what your stats are from what I’ve seen… 40% of our “Stats” are our Pets… which can’t receive the Stats from our Gear. Therefore 40% of our Stats are not modifiable in any meaningful way and can’t dodge or eat cons or stack regen on themselves either. I don’t even know why I’m pointing this out, it obvious to everyone right?? That’s why were always called “walking baggies”.

It’s really simple: 40% of our “Stats” are our Pets… which can’t receive the Stats from our Gear. Therefore 40% of our Stats are not modifiable in any meaningful way and can’t dodge or eat cons or stack regen on themselves either. I don’t even know why I’m pointing this out, it obvious to everyone right?? That’s why were always called “walking baggies”.
I basically ignore my pet in WvW and keep it on Passive. I use the Red Moa F2 for fury and manually send the pet out with F1 if needed.
I know there might be more use for it but I do well enough without.
One day I’ll be bothered to workout what use Anet intended it to be outside of PVE.
