Would it be favorable if we could repair siege we purchased?

I can imagine a lot of abusive supply draining issues, but it would still be nice to be able to repair siege in a keep in the borderlands where the lightning breaks it easily. Or to repair a golem.

The joy of finally taking out an annoying treb would be the main reason it’d be a bad idea. But not completely out of question. WvW’s an expensive hobby.

I would be happy if they cut the price of siege in half. Let the average casual person be able to afford siege without having to grind the Trading Post or do jumping puzzles for them. Or make it able to be purchased with karma…

Honestly, I’d prefer to see a way to remove/destroy your own team’s siege weapons… there’d have to be some type of security features in place for griefers, though.
But, I’d rather see some type of removal system, so you can build new ones, rather than being able to repair the old ones.

also, in daoc, if you destroyed a warmachine, it ‘dropped’ some of the supply that went into building the warmachine. that would be another fine concept they could borrow from daoc :p

and as someone else mentioned above, give a use for karma in w3 as currency !

The icon to spend karma on upgrades is there already. It’s just not being used. I’d rather use Karma than supply any day. And buy siege with karma. Even if it just reduced the costs. Karma to repair!

Repair-able siege weaponry? Too much of a risky & danger .. with enough big zerg .. anything could be capturable .. especially when outmanned. Nahh .. bad idea.

And to the topic of price. To have all sieges by placed upon one head – is idiotic – by all due respect. No change in prices. WvW is “ArenaNet” vision of Guild vs Guild .. a guild that claims a fortification, is supposted to take care of upgrades, siege weapons for defending, patrolling around & especially – guild buffs. Otherwise it´s all pointless & nonsense.

Advice to you guys – start seriously thinking what is the primary basis of WvW .. figure it out – and you´ll see there is nothing wrong with it.
