I saw them, i was confused for a Guild Called Red Guard why none of them were guard(ians) and why like 2 or 3 of them were wearing red. Yep that was pretty much my first and only thought about them lol

They put the band back together. (If they are on a mission from God remains to be seen)

Good to see RG back. I hope they will help to revitalize competitive EU guild scene.

New players will not recognize RG but if you’ve played since the start of this game you will have heard of them, watched their vids, and may have emulated their tactics.

Seek red guard raid vids in youtube, their old ones, and you’ll see the sort of wvw we used to have, and may encounter again with the new breed of players.

Unfortunetly its more like guilds being ripped apart by old RG members leaving and they never had that much competition to begin with :p

They will revitalize one thing though – every mesmer out there will switch to moa!

They ‘might’ find a bit more competition now. Doesnt RG just run a 20-25 man zerg? A lot more guild groups running that way than there was a few months back. Not to say they will be competition, but there is more of it, so one can hope.

They’re an EU guild and they largely pioneered and drove the GvG community/scene for a long time. Sacrx (their GL) left the game half a year ago or so after they beat every GvGing guild out there. Now that ANet has pulled back on a lot of their draconian GvG/WvW ways…it must have made sense for them to come back.

I’m really looking forward to fighting them eventually, whether it requires my guild to go to EU, or if they take a trip over here.
