Reduce the damage you take in WvW.

Did you miss the “trololol” in the end? Because if you are serious I can only pity you.

kitten OP for having an opinion, right?
Lemme see, attacked in the street by a mob of 30 people and their dogs, armed with greatswords, guns, axes, maces, flamethrowers and assorted magical weapons.
How long do you think it should take to kill you?
Everything? Well, I guess I never have to worry about death from falling ever again!
But OP… Think these things through! If you’re getting hit for 5k damage per second you might last 4-5 seconds under your system. Still pretty close to instant death, and just as inescapable as the normal system since CC will still keep you locked down. You better believe a team of 30 will hit you with a lot of it.
Some time ago you tell guardians that Altruistic Healing needs nerfing, and now this!
The insane rate of damage is part of why I prefer wvw combat over spvp.

There are some things that helps:
- Map awareness. If you are standing still beating down a gate, or maybe just farming a node, then use your mouse to look behind your back. Even when you’re just running from one place to another, look at your sides and behind you, as you’re running. Zergs are easy to spot from a distance.
- Stability and condition removal. Removing condition damage isn’t nearly as important as removing snare skills, like immobilize. Being locked down is what will get you downed by a zerg, 9 out of 10 times.
- Know how to react. If a zerg is too close for you to just run away, you have to respond quickly. Therefor it’s important that you have a defensive combo ready, so you know exactly what to do to improve your survivability. This is especially important if you’re playing a glass-canon build. Anything that can instantly move you, like leap skills, teleportation, or stealth, is what you mainly want. Also always run to the side, and never directly away.

Damage doesn’t need to be addressed
Simply be aware of your surroundings
Pay attention to the map and where likely zerg traffic routes/action will be and avoid it.
I barely ever get ran over in WvW by a zerg while solo roaming because you can see them & turn. Most of the time when following a pin they won’t chase a solo due to wasting time
Joking aside, if the OP is having trouble staying alive, he needs to look at his armour and technique.
Being caught by surprise by a stealthed thief is one thing, not noticing an entire zerg until it’s too late is another.
Just to put it in perspective, I can take my d/d Elementalist (cloth armour!) into the middle of a zerg fight melee, right up-front along with the warriors and guardians and providing I watch where I’m stepping, I’ll be fine. That’s because it’s specced PVT and I use condition removal food buffs. As Kasama said, immobilise is the big killer. Avoid that and you’re fine.
On my Guardian, I can cut right through the middle of an enemy zerg, turn round and come back the other way to pick up the lootbags without taking damage at all. It really is that tough. (I have to do it while their attention is on the rest of my party, otherwise I will be focussed and downed). The trick is using stability and dodging to step over the CC and get into the soft, fleshy bit at the back.
1 vs 30
the single guy melts
working as intended no?
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.
Ow god, biggest joke of the Warrior Forum found his way to the WvW threads…
Check his History, its not the first time he comes up with OP stuff like this
Rubber weapons can only solve your pain.
I enjoy the melting,it cleanses the soul.
You got killed by 30 people when you were roaming/away from your 30? Really you don’t say…bad troll is bad

Anet favours the bigger numbers by alot. You can only hit 5 of 30 ppl but all off the 30 ppl can hit you. The aoe cakitten uch a joke. It should go the other way around aswell if they wanted to use the joke aoe cap system.
Every guild/blob group run stacked upon eachother. It’s so ridiculous.

Yah it is. Showed this blob activity to some of friends who don’t play Guild Wars. After watching silently for a while one of them asked “Why do you play this game?”.
If your trying to fight 30 people solo ….. your doing it wrong.
Another soloer that thinks they should be able to take on a zerg alone.
Another easymode blober who enjoys 30vs1.
Nobody should be instantly killed by a 30 man zerg, at least give people a chance to react.
?? Of COURSE you should be instantly killed by 30 people lol
Pro Tips
-Use a swiftness skill
- When you see a large blob of red text that appears to be from a server opposing you, do not approach it. They will not give you free candy and hugs, as much as they’d have you believe.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
Let me help you how to deal with zergs:
1. Avoid them
2. Dodge roll thrue them and turn opposite direction
3. Listen to a commander (while you are in a zerg too)
4. Do not go full zerker, WvW is not a dungeon.
5. Know your abilities, and pop them on the right moment.
You know, the safest spot in a 30vs30 zergfest is actually in the middle of the enemy zerg because no one of them fires there.
Or just change into a snowman, and most people will laugh and leave you alone lol
(happend to me serveral times)
Reduce the damage you can take in WvWvW by up to 5k every second, this is to all conditions, retaliation, physical damage, everything.
Nobody should be instantly killed by a 30 man zerg, at least give people a chance to react.
This would also make WvWvW a bit less laggy.
Wow, horrible idea. If someone is caught offguard by 30 people running at them, they deserve to die. Situational awareness.

I support this philosophy.
Word of Encouragemen OP.. if you’re having trouble finding yourself being Entrapped, i Encourage you to stick with a medium or large group;.. as a Ranger I do just that at the best i can.
(one key note) is to stick with your Commanders; they most at the times have good if not the better counters against large enemy zerges.

In these scenarios Anet should lock players into a drum circle and force us to talk those feelings of hostility out.
