Remove Guard Stacks Before HoT?
my thief easily has over 3100 power without might. Bunker builds don’t seem very useful anymore since dps and heavy condi can just go right through it. Thoughts?
And here i thought i was just going crazy with how my necro with 25k hp, 21k DS and 3150 armor was being torn to pieces.

TBH when I first heard I was a bit annoyed, I figured they would just make it easier to obtain rather then throw it out. Over time I’ve become impartial, If everyone has it, its not an advantage or a boost, if no one has it, its the same thing as everyone having it.
The only part of me that kind of cares is that it really is the only 2 lines that really gave something that imo was worth while if you were not someone who likes to siege.

They plan on doing the wvw skill points reduction as well, and it was in the wvw borderland test recently, I think they should just go ahead with it and move it to live.
The guard stacks have been a crutch for certain builds cough cele cough, and it’s an advantage over newer players trying to get into wvw. I don’t want to hear about wvw vets need a stat bonus, I always hear wvw players don’t need bonus or rewards whenever the discussion comes up to discuss any of those.

Removing these is a good thing. No need to take a camp/farm some guards before hunting enemies just to be even on stats.
Now they also need to remove both +/- condi duration food.

Eh, they should just get rid of all the masteries then. After all, Wvw vets should not need advantages in any aspect of the game mode. Their skill and knowledge should be enough of an advantage.
Well, missing 2.5k health with all this power creep is sort of a problem. The loss of applied strength isn’t going to help matters that much. Anyhow, I assume that this may be resolved by the expansion and we’ll have more interesting things to spend points on anyways.

Well 100 less power and 100 less condi is a big nerf for dmg. Also the nerf to hp has higher impact in people running full zerker. A thief will drop from 13.5k to 11.5k, maybe that will make some swap a couple pieces of gear into more defensive ones, thus reducing the dmg…

And then the thief will just go and pick up the +10% damage shrine buff in the new map.
It was unfair IMO and a PITA to get. 2500 HP isn’t worth the same on all classes.
