Basically since the March patch people are just zerging around the map in groups of 20+ capping supply camps and sentries to farm wxp. While in essence this is an obvious by product of introducing a levelling environment to WvW, it’s turned the borderlands into a merry-go-round of WXP farmers steamrolling camps rather than attempting to capture anything significant.

If WXP was removed from the smaller objectives for groups greater than 10 or removed entirely then people may start to focus on the game rather than the rewards.

Maybe if a larger bonus was applied to defending/ attacking the keeps with diminishing returns/long cooldowns on awarding wxp.

I still like the idea of a wxp system, I just think the current execution of wxp has created an exploiters/farmers dream similar to the dolyak escorting of days of old.

Actually, what should happen is to give every objective a WXP pool and then have all players who contribute to get a share of that pool.

The current way WvW works benefits zergs way too much.
Objectives are faster (more WXP) and give more points to your world upon completion (Yaks and sentries) by being completed with more people. If you have the manpower, you’re actually hurting your world by soloing things instead of running in a group of 10+.

Wiping Zergs gives way more exp then quick capping camps and yaks etc

-Killing people gives much more xp than does circle capping
-People did this before this patch.
-People will continue to do this even if this is removed.
-The number increase you are experiencing is not because it now gives Wxp , but rather because its new content.

Just wait for the next WOW expansion WvW will be good as old.

A big NO to this idea.

Leveling WXP ranks is hard enough already and now you want to remove WXP sources which will ultimately lower WvW participation. No, I want more people in WvW not less.

You should not be able to PvE your way to a WvW rank. That is what is happening currently.

You should not be able to PvE your way to a WvW rank. That is what is happening currently.

Supply camps, towers, keeps, and castles are all “PVE” structures if no one is defending them. This is the same gameplay we’ve had in the past with an additional WXP reward on top of the karma, gold, and normal XP we used to have. I don’t see a problem here.

Defense awards WXP as well as gold, karma, and XP. It’s all the same as before. Everyone knows before WXP came out that running around on a karma train was easier XP than defending a keep unless you were repairing an SMC wall that was slowly being trebbed.
