I know this has been discussed many times, so I apologise if people are tired of talking about it. Any word on whether the rendering issues will be fixed / addressed with the patch on the 15th? I’m specifically talking about thieves here, because no other profession benefits more from the rendering problems and quite frankly I am sick and tired of being killed by thieves I can’t see, it’s beyond ridiculous, considering the burst they can do, this gives thieves such a massive advantage.

So basically, is this being fixed with the patch on the 15th? Quite frankly, I’m tired of if and so are a lot of other people.

If I recall correctly, a dev mentioned that the upcoming patch may address the culling issue in sPvP, but not WvW – as that’s a much more difficult issue to deal with.

I didn’t find the post to confirm that, so don’t take my word for it. But it’s a safe assumption that the patch isn’t going to fix the culling issue.. otherwise they would have mentioned it.

We all agree that it’s getting ridiculous. I witnessed one thief prevent 35+ people from capping a garrison the other day, for at least 5 minutes straight.

I haven’t had rendering issues since the last big update, if you still are then perhaps it’s time to upgrade your system.

It still exists pretty bad especially with thieves. It’s “suppose” to be fixed on the 15th, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

This has nothing to do with people’s machines.

My system is fine, it still happens.

If you have the minimum specs required by Anet, then you have full business kittening about BUGGY gameplay. Don’t give me the “get a new system” BS.

This is something they need to prioritise.

We don’t need to make mandatory gear treadmills, we make all of it optional

Valid point, and I hope Anet do fix this issue for people with “minimum spec” rigs. In the meantime, should you consider upgrading your system, then the problem will be much less of a problem.

I’m running i2500k sandy @ 4.5 GHz, 8GB Corsair Vengeance ram, GTX 680, and an intel SSD, built it myself for about $1500 AUD (AU prices almost double US) and the rendering issue is barely there since the last big update.

HellsMachine, on what server do you play?

It’s easy not to have rendering issues on some servers. I know when I test-transferred to some other server I didn’t have rendering issue either. But that’s only because it was less crowded.

I find it hard to believe forum is swarmed with threads “thief delaying camp capture”, which means out of 20-50 people no one sees him, and you say you have no issues. That doesn’t make any sense. If 10% of population did not have rendering issues there would be no situations where thieves delay camp capture.

Unemployed people should not receive any social benefits if they are already working in an MMO.

I play on JQ and even during massive zerg vs zerg battles I am no longer being attacked by invisible people like I was last week, I assumed that maybe Anet fixed this issue, but you guys seem to still have it happening.

The only thing I have changed on my PC is a few nights ago, I ran Ccleaner and cleaned up all my temp folders, cache, history, cookies and other junk (about 9gb worth). Not sure if this is what fixed it for me. Worth a try I guess, just make sure you don’t change any settings you’re not sure of, as this may cause issues.

For WvW it won’t.
A dev post said so.

However, remember they once said they ‘fixed’ it with a patch which did basically nothing regarding it. So perhaps they’re just messing with us. Social experiment and all tinfoil
