You can’t report in WvW or you still can but you don’t see their names?

you can still report but you will be unable to see who you are reporting.

thats really too bad

i sometimes enjoy talking to rival server players much more. like when i see 2 servermates trying to get thru the arena in the battlegrounds puzzle, exchanging shots with the enemy at the trap chains. he waves, i wave, were cool… and my servermates beg me to do something about him because they fired the first shot and are now being put thru hell.

So lame. I loved being able to comment the other players for good fights, well i guess a salute/bow will have to do, it just won’t be that good i guess.

I actually prefer communication through emotes.
When people from the other server have sent me whispers, most of them from a challenged toddler desperately needing a good father figure (assuming from the attitude and nature of their whispers), it kind of breaks the “immersion” for lack of a better word for me.

I like that they are faceless aggressors that I am helping the people of my server to conquer/defend against. I’ll give a bow or salute to a worthy adversary when appropriate and I’ll dance on the corpse of thiev-I mean scrubs.

Here on the forums I enjoy polite conversation with the enemy but in game I kind of like them to be dehumanized. Of course it’s just personal preference (and probably has to do with MANY MANY angst filled rage whispers full of garbage)

A change that does have its advantages and disadvantages. Though I forsee now there is /no way/ that those who would have gotten misunderstood for exploit or hacks can be contacted immediately to confirm or check if they really were, and would just be reported straight-out. Then again, it puts the reporter on the wary side, so either way – we would get a ton of blatant reporting, or a ton of blatant cheating.
