I completely understand wanting to try and make everyone happy regarding the WvW reset times, however, I really don’t think making it earlier on Friday will appease many West Coast / CST players. You have not alienated almost 3/4 of the entire US and Canada as people in those time zones aren’t even on their way home from work until 5. My thought would be that you all would change it to early Saturday, say 8-10 am PST. That way, EU has it at about 5-7 pm and you don’t kitten off everyone in the US. Just a thought.

Also, 3 days notice is crap. For such a major change to take effect that quick makes us think this is nothing but an impulse to just do it and NOT listen to your entire customer base.

As we have said you can swap with us and have it at 2am instead if you would like?

There is no good resolution currently. Someone gets a bad break regardless of the reset time. Instead of making this change without much thought, ANET should have instead focused on creating separate reset times for NA vs EU. That way both areas would have a more convenient time.

Me personally I look at it as a “bandaid hotfix” for some queue/skill lag issues that was simply being implemented under the guise of making things better at reset (time-wise) for everyone….Think about it, like you said they are pretty much eliminating most working/school players on the west coast, and at the least delaying some of the same group that live in the CST areas….My guess is that they are counting on seeing less of a population spike at reset…Then as people from the CST and PST start to stream in later they are probably hoping that those there at the new reset time will be elsewhere or moving to other maps etc.

I am very curious to see how much of a spike we (NA servers) get about 1-2hrs after the initial reset now….
