So sitting in que many nights and I wonder. Why could we not add a new map to wvw to try and spread some of these people out that want to play? I wonder how many people log off this game because they get tired of waiting only to go play another game. Or say I am tired of this maybe I will stop playing.

I am sure that doesn’t do a good job of increasing revenue. Quite frankly, it also doesn’t inspire people to play more.

If I’m unfortunate enough to get queued on reset night, I’m definitely logging off. I think the problem with adding another map, though, is that it’ll favor larger population servers even more than WvW already does. Another map would potentially mean that the server with the largest population/coverage could field players across 5 maps, whereas lesser population servers might only have enough to reasonably defend 1-3.

Try playing on a non-reset night, if queues really bother you that much.

lol. You are all obviously on lower end servers. I dont even when I was on borlis pass when the game started I remembered reset nights being q’d. New content would spread it out and stop the mega blobbing. It would also keep people interested in the game and help to stop people from leaving. If you guys can’t field your own servers to protect your lands…perhaps you should change to a more competitive server?

Perhaps we should stay on our own servers and you can spread the population out so it looks somewhat like it did before the end of free transfers was announced. Everyone stacked on like six servers and now we have all these kitten match-ups. You want to complain that your maps are too busy after picking a busy server? Seriously? That makes absolutely zero sense.

Wait so your solution for lower servers is to transfer to higher servers so we can give you even more que times?

Friday nights is the only night I do not enter WvW on Desolation.But I’d like to know where all those players go for the rest of the week.Or do they think WvW is a one night stand?

It seems like all of them just hopped on my post to troll me. I have been on this server since month 2. I believe new wvw content would help reduce que times and spread people out on the servers.

No. Transfer to a low tier server to balance out the population. Thats exactly what I did. Left JQ for Kaineng and now I dont have more then 5 minute ques even on reset night and that is only for like 30 minutes right at the start.. on ONE map.

I started on JQ but its up to us to balance this population. If you are gonna complain how about doing something YOURSELF about it rather then whining and waiting for other people to do it for you.

b/c why would I leave all of my friends and go to a server that is not competitive? I spent all of this time working with my guild and the server in general I am on to help them get better. Developing other guilds has taken alot of time.

You are right I am going to leave b/c that all means nothing. I will just help arena net fix the problem and give up on something i invested so much in.

I would like to see three new maps:

One Green, one blue, one red.

Each home world should have an identity.

Keep the existing generic map as a stand alone, and make Citadel the map’s stone mist castle.

We need some new content in wvw just to keep it fresh.

Your server is more “competitive” because it’s more crowded, the cost of being competitive is having queues.

@OP: If you are on a top 3 tier server, no one cares if you have queues. I personally have dealt with it for a long time and have been on TC since launch.

Either deal with it, or move servers.

A new map would be very good for reset nights across all tiers I think. However, for the rest of the week, it would cause problems for servers that already have coverage issues.

The only viable solution I can think of, that would fly on all tiers, is a map that is only available on the weekend. However, it would be a colossal waste of resources for them to build a whole new map that is only going to be up for a couple of days week.

Getting anet to add 1 more map for reset nights, just because a handful of servers gets ques is just stupid. Many servers out there cant even que 1 map on reset nigh,t yet u feel entitled someone for anet to make changes just for us ???

threads like this make me feel ashamed for being on a t1 server. IF you cant put up with the 1 draw back of having the coverage we do in t1, then i suggest moving servers or sitting out for reset night.
