Right so EU reset have been done and my server was linked with a lower tier server.
I can ofc not speak for the lower tier server and how they felt about this, but from my pov i feel there was not really that much of a difference and the experience is only positive. The impact the server linked with us had was nothing that stood out. We had a much bigger que to eb then we ever had before but imo that was not because of the link but because of the beta tests and all the new stuff and the new rewards you get which mostly will pile up during reset so more players was expected to join.
Reason i believe so is that we several times asked how many of the players that was linked with us was actually on EB and we got response from roughly 5 of them. I think they are more then 5 but this is what we heard from a few on EB today.
The impact the linking made was not so huge for us but might have felt more if you came from the low pop server. What we heard was their surprise about how bad the lag was in 3 way fights in sm and i guess it is hard to come from a low pop server, getting tossed in to huge 3 way fights were only autoattack works and you are still expected to survive.
We also felt it was a bit hard to get them on to our TeamSpeak. Even though we had set it up to be easy for them. Hopefully this change later in the week and they feel welcome and will join us.
So from my pov the linking was totally ok and a good addition. I am not sure how the low pop servers feel about it, but i hope they will express it so we get some insight in the goods and the bads.
Queues on every border with EB queue >100 – haven’t seen that for a long while.
In fact the EB queue didn’t go until after 2am UK time.
Was nice to see that we had queues, although a more even distribution would have been better..
