Just curious how many of us have retired the dorito for one reason or another. Been so long for me no one but the old commanders and guilds even remember me.

Hello! Retired? No not yet :P I have been commanding since pretty much Day 1 of the offical release ( with out a badge to start with ) i still find it really fun :P spent over 2000 hrs in WvW alone and if anything the only thing that would make me quit would prob be some annoying change to the way the badge works.. and its most likely going to happen since theres soooo much QQ on the fourms about the badge and Arena net listens to the QQers more then to the people who are actaully happy with the way things work atm :P

I am a retired commander don’t hardly even play those characters anymore. On the bright side I get to take breaks when I want to.

I don’t really consider myself retired,
But I rarely throw my tag on anymore.

More often throw it on when I need people to rally for short term goals.

Present.

I’ve decided instead of leading but to develop a World instead. It’s nice to see the players you play with get better.

But I still lead every now and then just to ensure new players get to experience a simple and fun WVW. Though, the commanders of my new World/home do more than enough that it feels wonderful supporting them.

Can you retire after a month of doing something? After 20 years of doing something, you retire. After a month of doing something you just stop doing it.

Wars here end in one week… How much time wars usually take to end? Months? Years?

Also, saying you just quit doing it is ‘unelegant’.

Not a commander, but know many who don’t turn the icon on much or at all anymore.

Some reasons:
+ If no guild group, it becomes a major headache and act of frustration
+ Tired of being yelled at or demeaned in /t /m /s /w
+ Want to play another character (should be able to use your dorito on all chars, but hey, what’s 100 gold, just CoF for a few days)
