Returing from half a year pause and...
Err… Google translate is not great when transferring into English …
Sorry but have no idea what your problem is? People having different builds?

I think the defect isn’t in Google Translate but his brain.
Sorry but i think you must learn to play again, WvW Ranks are only a minor advantage.
I think GW2 is the only game on the market in which you can make a break of 1 or 3 month and still be competetive, cause there is no big progression item wise.

I am guessing someone died a lot and did not like it.
He angry.
Seriously if you take a break from the game and expect you can use the same build from half a year ago….
stand aside, I work in childcare and decipher this sort of jumbled up mess pretty often
…. very disappointing. I see a huge difference between old and new players, the difference is much bigger then was in first 1-2 monthes after release. I see people with high mobility, huge burst and unkillable tanks. I see the influence that time has had on the availability of skills and gear.
I’m a casual player can`t compete with these players. I dont know why, but there high surviavability classes do insane damage in 4-6 seconds and yet regularly remove all my conditions. And they do it all the while moving around me. I play a WoW mage and I’ve never seen classes this op before.
So after 2-3 days of WWW (and being killed by huge numbers of necromancers) I don’t want return anymore. I’m angry, disappointed enough that I want to throw the game in the bin.
ArenaNet – you made from one of the best games – full kitten and WOW-like gameplay. Screw you idiots
so
Gear advantage is large and gated by time… Have to agree
Unaware of the meta in regards to builds and food buffs
bad player
Eriena of JQ-warrior forever
Welcome to power creep and the gear grind, time limited style.
its gona be okay man if you made this thread about your build. I shead tears when warriors traits were moved and now i cant go super sayian and have limit to what my guy can do. Im forced to play defensively sadly. I used to play full glass cannon and only relying on my moment and dodges but now the game has become more kitten friendly so i have to actually put points into defensive traits :/ fak ju cry babies.
Wait… we have a mage?
Aww poor baby warriors /end sarcasm

Wait… we have a mage?
No, he’s saying he played a mage in World of Warcraft before, and despite thinking that was OP, it doesn’t come close to some of the builds available in this game.
But I guess feigning ignorance is the way to go nowadays.

You sure that’s what he’s talking about? The only time I see WoW mentioned is in a negative spurt at the end. Beyond that I can’t decipher much at all.
The op is trying to blame his atrophied skill on “power creep of equipment” I think. This is nonsense, considering a good half of us still wear the same thing we have done for the last 6 months with maybe a tiny adjustment from a handful of ascended items.
His problem is that he has left the game for a long time and in that time people have learned to play their classes well.
He also seems to be playing a condition elementalist. I play one myself and I do not make the mistake of thinking I am a warcraft mage.
My advice to the OP is to go roll a necromancer if they impress him that much. Also, go get practice in and learn to play the game as well as everyone else who didn’t leave for a half year period to do something else.

Could be mage in any game, World of Warcraft being the most prominent. In any case it’s irrelevant beyond your own opinion of whether or not the mage class in that game was OP in relation to some of the stronger builds in GW2. He is definitely not referring to the elementalist as a mage, if that’s what you are insinuating.

While there isn’t much of a powercreep going on with equipment, there is a power creep going on within builds.
His problem is that he has left the game for a long time and in that time people have learned to play their classes well.
While this is true, your profession / build will trump player skill in a lot of cases. Even an exceptionally mediocre phantasm mesmer could beat most melee players for example.

So your solution to imbalances is to roll whatever is FotM?

I honestly have no idea what he’s talking about.
The guy got killed by a d(s)/d ele, and came here to complain about it. Pretty simple.
