As the titles says, i would like to see someone to bring together and reflect the chaos of feedback and criticism (most of it just plain hate). Maybe start polls to and then objectively show arenanet the ideas and wishes of the community.

I can live with wvw getting less love, than the other game modes, but the attention is there, only it feels not in union with the community. Sure there are polls, but who knows the significance in terms of numbers of participants, participants are wvw/pve/pvp/raid players …

So for me a person needs to be the interface between the community and the developers, since they cant grasp everything.

What I have in mind is to have people polled based on the type of play they do most. So if the vast majority of your time is in PvE, PvP, WvW, then you should be polled for that part of the game.

This way the polls have more validity and sustenance to them. I hope this makes sense.

Anyhow, it seems like the devs have taken it onto themselves to talk on the boards now so the role is obsolete. And to be fair, I see more red posts of substance here than in the pve forums. So it’s very possible that people aren’t going to need a tag to make posts that summarizes various sentiments, it’s fairly obvious if they can recognize various posters who aren’t full of agendas even at a glance.

However, I must agree that this polling mechanism needs to be more in depth.

I question a lot of job titles today and this “I am a unique pony” society we live in today.

They recently changed a title of a secretary at my work to “communication specialist Level 2” to make her feel special. Reminds me of something anet would create lol

No, this is not a good idea. What you, and others who suggest this same idea, fail to think about is why someone spends the majority of their time in a certain game mode at the expense of the other modes. WvW is not in great shape, a lot of people don’t like blob wars, a lot don’t like the state of siege, or the current state of balance in the game. Why would they play a mode that they don’t enjoy?

However, this doesn’t mean they don’t want to play WvW. It just means that right now WvW is so bad that they just literally cannot bear to be there. Their vote as to what should change to bring them back is just as important as the vote of someone who plays there and is voting on what should happen to convince them to stay in that mode. Every single vote is a valid vote.

It was actually to condense the best and most prevalent feedback down into manageable documents that the developers could then bring to meetings and discuss openly amongst themselves. The developers still read the forums even when we were still specialists.

Always thought Archon did a good job of remaining server neutral.
