Anet programmed chests to have rng, why would the season chest be any different?

Ancient Karka was a 3 (?) hour PVE event and gave a lot more.

The 7 week long league reward chests are rng? Sounds about right, time to go back to Starbound beta.

I’m gonna have to request some source on that other than “LA mapchat”. I seriously doubt that the chests would drop Legendaries.

I doubt there were ascended or legendaries in it. Video or it didnt happen.

Just curious, are a lot of you people that didn’t play WvW exclusively before seasons?

I ask because I did and I have also spent tons of gold on siege and upgrades, spent hours scouting, escorting yaks, and other less “fun” and glorious tasks. The fact that we are getting rewards is a plus but seasons or no seasons people would have been doing this anyways. Example, I got my meta done naturally, the only thing I “farmed” was the JP’s because I would not normally go there.

There has been no recorded drop of a legendary since the game came out and I don’t believe they are even in any loot tables. Unless proven dude was lieing to you.

Edit: Though now that you mention it, would have been nice to get more than the karka event.

1 green per week. That’s what Anet thinks your time is worth if you play WvW. This isn’t just disappointing it’s frankly insulting. I would actually rather not have any greens at all. Just give me the mini dolyak and be done with it. Greens is just a joke.

Ah well, infraction or not, this is just too funny.

Don’t worry! With your 100 Dragonite you can enjoy the other fun content: crafting stations!

I won’t say a lot this time, only that I’m disappointed. what a bummer. Would it have been too much to ask for a single stand-out skin (helmet, backback, weapon) for a whole season reward? We got such skins for 2-week long PvE content updates.

7 greens, WOW! That’s not far off from the predictions from some people that we’d get a few greens and some blues as a Season 1 chest reward.

Anet’s giving away SALVAGEABLES as prizes… OMG!!!!

Seriously, Anet, why are greens even a possibility to RNG out of these chests? It should be rares or higher. (Heck, ideally, exotics or higher.) 7 weeks of work and achievement efforts for some greens. /facepalm!

Called it before the league started! Wish I hadn’t though. I think my “everyone gets an ascended back piece” was a much better idea.

And i am utterly surprised that anyone is actually surprised that the reward is bad.

Have most people been asleep for the past year and a half? WvW rewards have always been really bad. Hours worth of effort that equals what PvE awards in a fraction of the time.
And the Season 1 chest is no different.

I called it before this season even started, and i know i wasnt the only one. And the outrage will sweep across the PvE players who are used to getting atleast a rare and a bunch of dragonite or for just autoattacking 10minutes. Or 1min and afking the rest.

The people who were no stranger to WvW before this League started should not be surprised.
