It’s bugged me for a long time, and it’s probably been brought up before, but rewards in WvW vs PvE are backwards.
PvE offers huge loot incentive for minimal effort, whereas WvW is largely considered a money sink. If there is any comparison to be made with any war effort, the general population foots the bill to pay for weapons and soldiers. Another perspective may be that we’re like vikings, fighting and raiding for plunder. Either way, the disparity makes little sense.
Loot rewards definitely need to be improved, I think we can all agree on this. When the poorest person on the map is often the commander, it’s another indication that something’s out of whack.

I would be greatly pleased if you could turn in badges for account bound runes of your choosing. Economic ramifications be kittened.

More rewards for badges, more badge on borders, less in eotm

The chests that appear every time you do an event in EoTM and give out badges… These are hugely unbalancing and need to go.

Best I can tell WvW is about ten percent the efficiency of PvE. Maybe it is because in PvE my focus is on making cash, but after 3k hours in WvW almost all of the money in my bank account has come from PvE or playing the TP game.
