Anet. can you please require line of sight for ressurection as players are killing themselves next to gate purposely to get a rez later.

this has been going on for a year now.
still not resolved by anet.
dead player should be auto-spawned at spawn point if not rezzed after 5 minutes….

Usually I view this as a tactics matter, but I can see both sides of it. Why should the side that takes a tower dedicate eyes to a potential security threat? But at the same time, it is a matter of tactics to have a dead spy inside a tower, and quite useful.
Perhaps a timer would be best, since that would both limit the baby-sitting and the spy potential.
Imagine under a SM assult.
Commander: Mesmer at both gates!
Zerg: Dies
Commander: Respawn!
Zerg: rushes to gate
Zerg: rez mesmer
Then that mesmer run and rez the other mesmer, then they port whole zerg to inner
The way I see it, if an issue has been around this long with no fix, it must be working as intended. Exploit away.
If they can’t fix the LOS requirement for ressing then perhaps it’s time to remove mesmer portal. That or force players to release after 1minute.
