This is my personal experience and not AFS but for me, Colin’s post about free transfer is a little useless. Seeing as how the new update on WvW will reward you if you ‘DO’ more WvW not PvDoor, transferring to a lower tier server is just counter productive.
That said, as an AFS member (not AFS as a whole) would just like to find more action. I am personally sad to leave SoS as we started here and stay the longest before even considering the option of transferring. I will leave the server judgement to Grekkz and will support him 100%. We worked with many guilds from around the world and they can vouch for us that we will make a difference in your server.
Please stay on topic and post the stuff required by Grekkz and we will look into it. Thanks.
respectable post mate….personally im completely biased because to be brutally honest i would love you guys to choose BG so we can seriously contend with JQ and make for a awesome t1 bout….that said from an unbiased as possible viewpoint i believe KN or SoR to be your best bets…just my personal opinion…regardless of your choice gl and most of all have fun…
i’d definitely recommend guesting on the servers your looking at and hang out with specific guilds not pugs….why i recommend this is because every server has trolls etc LA map chat etc. However maybe join soem guilds on guild missions…do some dungeons talk with people…if i was going i’d talk with not the guild leaders of every guild or PR if they have them etc….but higher up well established normal members….ask them a bunch of questions about their opponents and their server…..

They already chose their server. They are moving to SoR.
While I would love to have AFS on JQ, I also understand that JQ has an extremely strong SEA presence, and that other servers would benefit more from your transfer than JQ. BG is a good server, but they have already proven that they can win T1; hence, you might want to consider moving to another destination.
There are two servers that I can think of that both need more SEA coverage and are in tiers that would provide the type of fights AFS is looking for: TC and SoR. TC seems like a great location to go to — a friendly server, dedication to team play and WvW, and you would be going up against a server with a large SEA presence, Kaineng, providing you with lots of good fights at the times that you play. Similarly, SoR is a very strong server boasting the largest NA presence in all of tier 1, and from what I can tell they could definitely use more SEA coverage to further balance T1. They also have the largest and most strident population of forum warriors, though. I wish that reputation would change for them, but they have to stop talking about how everyone else is bad at pvp first, and they definitely need to stop crashing GvGs. It’s a PR disaster.
Having said that, if I were in your position, I would seriously consider moving to TC because they have such a zeal for fun and an unimpeachable reputation as having a great never-give-up attitude. Just take a gander at their threads for a good laugh. Heck, I want to go to TC or have them in JQ for those good times.
I assume your on JQ and as a BG player its nice to see a JQ person publically not being aggressive to our server…i appreciate it.
If your looking to meet some new faces, kick some kitten, and have fun doing it.. take a look at Tarnished Coast.. Another guild from SoS is also in the process of transferring here.
Well, coming from another commander who has followed and commanded (on occasion) AFS, any server you go to will be lucky to have you all. I hope it is the new server I am going to of course!
