I have seen this SOS tactic before and I am pointing this out. I have seen both us and SBI get used. Last night is a perfect example. SOS helps SBI take all our stuff down to spawn, then SOS takes our stuff from SBI. Letting SBI do all the work, then stealing their gains for themselves. It happened in the reverse when they let us destroy SBI and tried to take SBI home keep the other week.

It’s smart play? Using your foes against each other is a tactic spanning the ages. The point of wvw isn’t to mash heads in Zerg against Zerg. As far as I am aware there is no conspiring between any of the servers. So why are we getting ripped on for being smart about our gameplay. I’d also like to point out that If you could call anything conspiring in t1 at the moment it’s guys like you jumping on the forum toting crap like "look at SOS they cheat so much we should (sbi and jq) gang up on them.

I do not know. Perhaps in a 1v1 setting the big three are roughly even. All three are relatively strong, so I don’t see how its possible to win in a 2 v 1 situation. You say SoS beats jq and sbi but I don’t know if this accurate. From what I observed sos appears to be dominate when sbi is fighting jq and sos at once (this happens way too often in eb). So their forces are split. If JQ and SBI decided to focus SoS, I highly doubt they would appear very strong, the same as if SBI and SoS focused on JQ.

I’m certain of it – with the current level of WvW participation since SoS entered Tier 1, and the split goals of the servers involved, SoS is stronger than SBI or JQ 1v1. If they were anything but, they wouldn’t be leading the match and ending ahead each week, plain and simple. All 3 servers had their time to prove or disprove this, and it is likely going to be a 4-0-0 game shutout this week.

SoS is the dominant server. SBI and JQ aren’t going to team up against them significantly to change this. One of them is going to Tier 2 if any server there proves to be consistently dominant. I just hope JQ switches places with BG, if that’s what SBI wants. I had a blast with the IOJvSBIvJQ match, and the worst WvW ever was when BG took their place. If that’s who SoS and SBI want to allow in place of JQ, I’m glad to be in a match without any of those servers, especially BG, in JQ’s matchup.

For now, sPvP has zero culling issues, in fact the thief perma-stealth is nonexistent now. So aside from my Monthly (barring dropping down to Tier 2), that’s where I’ll get my PvP during the “WvW Beta” patch.

I’m a commander on JQ and I will say we always focus on SoS but if SBI keeps attacking us we will wipe them off the map before dealing with SoS its as simple as that. If you guys want to keep hitting us like that we can focus you more but WvW is about fighting for first not to stay in a tier.

Seems to be a lot of conspiracy theorists in this thread.

Apparently every one’s server is a jumbled, unorganized mess whilst the enemy servers are plotting against them and working together.

It’s true that there are a few people on SoS that publicly try to get our players to believe they are in league with the enemy, as though they were actively chatting with JQ or SBI over teamspeak. These people are giving us a bad name and should seriously consider taking a prolonged break.

We defend strategically and attack opportunistically, simple as that. SoS has a 6-8 hr Oceanic window every day on clockwork where we have it easy and night cap like crazy and fortify our points to its max when NA players fall asleep, simple as that – the ticks in point advantage comes primary from this easy ride and node fortification window.

WvW strategy is kitten simple once you get the basic hang of it and have tons of gold to buy endless quantities of siege weapons and ever rotating runs to supply points to cause never ending grief. Let’s stop kidding ourselves over how great our conspiracy strategies are, we are constantly on the lookout for outmanned buffs on JQ or SBI and just take whatever is easiest to take. We will backstab JQ or SBI if the opportunity presents and so will they, simple as that.

We have tons of commanders each with different styles of play and tons of guilds participating. We just go with the flow for the moment and the horde of bandwagoners who like to be in Tier 1. All JQ and SBI needs to do is to equalize on that 6-8 hour Oceanic window.

No rocket science, simple as that.

Why wouldnt SOS just take our stuff in the first place and cut the middle man out.

If SOS>SBi>JQ at that timeframe in the match. Why wouldnt SOS just take JQ stuff in the first place since they are the weaker of the three at that Timezone in the match.

And by leting SBI take JQ stuff in the first place. You are letting them get the point click.

you can spend 15 minutes beating on a reinforced door, or 1 minute beating a regular gate. how are you in T-1 again?

3 rams will take a reinforced gate down in under 5 minutes^

So basically you are saving 12 silver and maybe 2 minutes of time.

What happened to 1 vs 1 vs 1? Yet I keep seeing cry for 2on1 in order to win. I remember first week when SOS came into tier 1, SBI and JQ were adamant that they never double team (despite Blackgate constant warning), so stop calling for it. Attack both sides and stop calling for secret alliances.

This is no Sbcry we sat there, watched a downed messmer go from dead to dissapear to full health porting ppl in, no one was reviving her, Her health meter did not move. One fellow even witnessed another fly hacking to get in. Again, Address this Please. This is indeed no way to win.

Best you can do is just report them. Have no control on who ever band wagons to our server. Never even heard of the DiE guild until this thread.

6 of us camped that body. the player NEVER revived. just vanished then a port appeared next to her. AFTER we saw a random DiE player flying through the air. twice they were able to cap the hills while all gates were up and people were inside the base watching for them.

DiE bandwagoned from Blackgate about 2 weeks ago if you’re curious.

Like i said ig. We know what is fact about this, we don’t need others to believe what just happened. Only thing we can hope for is commanders of other servers to address this in any way possible. And keep it clean, yet competitive.

yes, i was there also, this mesmer from [DiE] literally was laying dead on the ground for like 15 minutes we watched over her, then suddenly she disappears and a portal appears, and about 30+ SoS portal in and storm the lord room, also a ton of other SoS not in DiE guild took the portal too, thereby participating in the exploit, I hope arena net does something about that specific guilld.

The best way to explan 2v1 is sharks.

Once 2 sharks smell blood they attack the weaker shark.

There isnt any strategy or alliance. If you are ever being 2v1 95% of the time you are the weaker of the 3 at that timezone in the match.

Which I find funny because I think Anet attended the weaker 2 would attack the strongest.

But the opposite happened the stonger 2 servers would attack the weakest.

Who was the guy who apparently “observed us” flyhacking, I’m pretty sure he is incorrect. Ok, if we were stupid enough to hack into a keep we would not be representing at the time – but as a general rule we don’t use hacks, exploits or any other means that are against the terms of use.

Please stop the accusations because they are unfounded, enjoy your ban.

Next time you think that we are hacking, please send us a video with the thought exploit to our website, and to Arena-net. Just keep in mind that we are going completely off your own words, which are biased – actual evidence would be nice.

I, for one watched it. as did 5 other people I believe and trust with everything I can trust with. we have sceenshots, and entire guilds of players that know what happened. Spin it how you want. You’re caught. Where you ported in from…there is only ONE way to get to that spot and I was standing on it. You portaled behind me…and the only other way there was up.

For anyone who wants to get onto the wagon with his mob mentality of hating on DiE. We are an Ex-Titan Alliance guild. We pride ourselves on being one of the top guilds in the game. We in no way, shape or form condone, or conduct ourselves in any type of exploiting. To be accused of such is a mediocre excuse from guilds who are just not sweeping towers and keeps well enough for mesmers.

FRAPS us in action. I would love to see us flying through the air consuming SBI with fireballs from our eyes and bolts of lightning from our backsides.

We spend countless hours checking “new” spots to place defensive and offensive siege, mesmer hiding spots, nooks and crannies!

Im just wondering though, why would be bother to leave a mesmer, or anyone dead what so ever, if we can just fly over walls?

In conclusion, we class ourselves as one of the best guilds in the North American servers. At the moment we feel like we are facing above average guilds which makes us shine even brighter with our tactics such as portal bombs, mesmer hiding, flanking and envelops.

We do wish that you try harder instead of accusing us of exploiting. Raise the bar for your guild instead of raising your finger to point!

Ok the accusations in this thread are getting absolutely out of hand. Before I begin my story I’d like to add that I’m a DiE recruit, not even a member, let alone an officer. My views dont represent DiE in any way, but I feel obligated to defend the guild tag that I wear proudly. I will also in no way go into details about the method used to ninja hills.

First off – the forum cries are out of control, but that now a respected WvW focused guild get accused of exploiting is beyond words. DiE brings the good fights, we play to have fun and yes when the fun stops we have transferred in the past. Calling us bandwagoners for that is just sadness. Now even a respected member of the forums and from an opponent we have always respected started a tirade on the forums. I can’t explain how angry this makes me, although most of us just laugh about it, my inner sense of justice just makes me angry about it. I would like to add to this that I have put in an official complaint to Arenanet about getting called exploiters, when this is not the case. I have in detail explained to Arenanet how we took that keep. I can vouch that absolutely no case of exploiting was used. I know several other servers have used this method. I hope that Arenanet contacts you to explain that no cheat whatsoever was used.

I also remember that when I saw LOD members exploiting the water exploit to attack trebs in garrison NO people contacted me for screenshots. Just now when we took Sunny I saw 3 cata’s and 2 balistas up in the hills at SBI spawnpoint. A location that siege should not be placed in, yet it was. Exploit. Did we cry about it? No, we just moved on. Left the tower and ninjad hills for the second time.

Get off your high horse and think for more then 5 seconds. From the events alone you should know what happened. As soon as Arenanet fixes the portal stuff so that it can’t be made through walls of towers and keeps again I will gladly come back here and explain how we did it.

JQ was spotted exploiting at sunny hill. Guild tag ZX. They were seiging our tower, wall/gate still up, but some of them managed to get in and started attacking the defenders. Please do something about it JQ

Nice try Cover girl, every mesmer can portal through walls as long as he is inside. I’m not gonna go in detail and explain the method to you. I know you want me to, but I’m just not going to. I asked Arenanet to contact you and explain the method is 100% valid and use of game mechanics. I hope they do.

But do I think mesmer portals should not work through walls? Yes. So when they hopefully fix this one day and portals will only work to portal golems around I will contact you and explain it.

EDIT: and as this post below me clearly expressed, he just wants to learn the way to do it. Nobody can be this dumb.

whatever man, in the end we all know what you did, there’s no way you can legit-Ly get to that spot the portal was at to begin with unless you’re already inside the inner gate which i doubt because we clean sweeped it bottom to top, every corner, angle, spot possible. I just find it ironic as soon as your mesmer disappeared from being dead, lord behold a PORTAL showed up right by her @ the cliff edge, we were checking 360 degrees the whole time making sure you guys didnt come in.
