This basically sums up SoS. They always wait for a server to take a keep/tower and then run in and take it. i.e. server A is about to cap a tower that was reinforced/fortified, server A caps it, SoS runs it and is now able to attack a fully downgraded tower. Truly a pitiful excuse for a server.

That’s a shame to hear, I’m on SoS but don’t participate in WvWvW yet because my PC is crap.

Hopefully they grow some balls before I upgrade my PC. lol

If you go about the effort of sacking a keep or a tower, then you had better be able to defend it while it is not upgraded. If you can’t do that, then you really shouldn’t complain about this tactic being used against you.

I’m from TC and it sounds like a perfectly viable strategy to me.

If you were there long enough to “watch” them wait, you should have had plenty of time to call for reinforcements to come destroy SoS forces from behind.

As others have already said, it’s a viable strat.

This is something we’ve done ourselves in EB on TC … not quite sure why there’s a thread about it …

If they were pro they’d attack during the siege and kill both teams.

But it is a legit tactic, we took Stonemist that way last matchup. We ran through the whole in the wall Ehmry’s trebs made with a force of 50, circled around to the southern inner entrance, dropped 6 rams on the gate, destroyed it and then killed the keep lord.

Funny thing was, when we went outside, both Mag and Ehmry were still fighting outside.

TLDR: Legit Tactic, just bring arrow carts and a catapult for defense after you cap, or have scouts watch for enemy incs.

You know what never mind what i said about the hackers making us weak by making our numbers few, because of YOU guys we are getting stronger and smarter with how few people that dont hack we can handle you guys tagteaming us but not admiting it like other servers we can still hold keeps and towers without your numbers, heh even if you some how manage to get us to 0 supplys income at night we will get it back in the morning see youthen

Considering the time this happened, I was constantly running to supplies to Wildcreek as three trebs from SM were bombarding it.

The reason why they didn’t act is because they lacked the numbers. At that time, SoS had no queue and the outmanned buff in EB.

But if you feel like you’re all hardcore for beating numbers less than half your force whilst you have all the orb buffs. Please continue.

Personally I’m avoiding any and all fights with Gate of Madness and sole focus on SoS partially for this reason. I will admit it IS a viable strategy, but you can’t also expect for people to respect you when you do it.

If I had the pull (and I don’t) I would suggest that GoM and TC call a “truce” for a day, smack SoS into place, then resume the 1v1v1 after they have been substantially crippled.

I don’t know whether TC and GoM should be teaming up to punish SoS for nightcapping and mitigate the damage that their massive point gains at night do to our overall balance, or wailing on GoM for the Orb fiasco early on Saturday. I would prefer the former—as long as we don’t see our Orbs magically fly away again.

As for OP, there’s nothing wrong with being opportunistic. Sure, it’s annoying when it happens to you, but we’d be lying if we said we on TC didn’t manipulate the map in such a way that we encourage GoM to hit an SoS tower that’s R.Gate+Metal, using up their siege and time to make it happen, with the intent of sweeping in ten minutes later and plowing through their dinky wooden fort like butter.

Wow, complaining for something I have seen both TC and GoM do? Congratulations? GoM with hacking as well? You are ones to complain having all 3 orb bonuses thanks to a hacker. Saw videos of when this happened by someone from TC and GoM players defended this player while the hacker capped it.
