Q:
Season 1 schedule?
18th oct 2013 .. .. . .
18th oct 2013 .. .. . .
We know when it kicks off, but is there a set schedule of the server match ups for the season? That is my question.
They won’t be able to tell you WHO you will be facing until this week’s match-ups are over. The leagues are to be based on standings at the start of the league. It’s not at all clear at this point which U.S. servers will make it into 5th and 6th spots in the gold league, which also impacts which servers end up in Silver league. It’s more firm in bronze, but there is still a chance of some flip flopping in positions 15 – 17.

It will start at the same time as every reset.

Yes they can.
They cant tell us specific SERVERS sure, but they can tell us that the server rated #1 will face server #3 and server #5 in week 1. We the players can figure it out from there.

I think they are still using the random factoring.
No they stated that every server will fight each other server at least once within a league, so it isn’t entirely random.

From Devon has told us in the past, they can’t know or set a match before it happens (coding issue), so the schedule will prolly be random also.
I wouldn’t be surprised though, if Season 1 ends up finishing with servers that don’t face each other due to some bug.

I don’t get why they chose 7 weeks.
All leagues except US gold will have 9 servers.
So each server has 8 opponents.
If it was 8 weeks long we could face each server twice.
Luna Solares – Mesmer
For Gold league the number of unique match-ups are 10, with each server facing another specific server 40% of the league period.
For Silver and Bronze league the number of unique match-ups are 28, with each server facing another specific server 25% of the league period.
So for a 7 week match, if you are in gold league you should expect to face off against the same server for at least 2-3 matches.
For a 7 week match if you are in silver or bronze league you should expect to face off against the same server for at least 1-2 match(es).
Chances are that you may not have the exact same match-up during the 7 week period,

They could make up a schedule.
Server # represents the place and the corresponding server.
They don’t have to say specific names, just have a schedule that says these will be the schedule. The number will be replaced with the server name after the ranking for this week are complete.
Week 1 -Server 1, 2, 3 fight each other and 4,5,6 fight each other
Week 2 – Server 2,3,5, fight each other and 1,4,6 fight each other
Week 3 – Server 3,4,6 fight each other and 1,2,5 fight each other
Etc…
So, they don’t have to know what servers will be playing yet, but they can have a schedule in place.
Since it is a league, there shouldn’t be any randomness involved in the match making.
They should publish a schedule.. Probably all pro sports leagues publish the schedules before the league starts. And pro e-sports publish the schedule of a particular tournament. Even amateur sports leagues generally publish schedules, for that matter..
