Hey I’m on Blackgate. Why’s it so dead now? There isn’t any PvE event crap going on. It seems every time I try to come back to this game, WvW is just dead on my server so I just quit again. Maybe my timing is off lol

Everyone knows how much time and effort will be going into Season 2
So I suggest many of our usual Commanders, and WvW players, are taking this time to chill out, train other commanders, do some casual spvp, grind a bit of pve, etc

BG isn’t dead but just intentionally tanking to help with recruiting. This tactic worked in season 1 so it’s getting used again. BG was able to ZD’ed a few guilds with gullible leadership to join for season 2. The server with the best overall coverage on NA servers got stronger going into season 2 than they were in season 1.

I predicted this more than 1 month ago and everything is going exactly as how I outlined in the post from a month ago. BG is in phase 3 of this tanking process..

1) Intentionally tanking before season starts to make it seem like they’re the underdogs.

2) Run propaganda on forums to make sure everyone knows they’re outmanned by every server on every time zone to help with recruitment (still couldn’t believe BG claimed to be outnumbered by SOR in EU even after SOR lost their first batch of guilds).

3) Hope that some gullible guild (cough… zds…cough) gets tricked into transferring over.

I’m sure many BG will have a blast in season 2 when they finally get to play normally again. Many BG players went on for more than a month not being able to play normally because so many BG servermates constantly encourage them to not do wvw, since if they play, it’ll boost up the BG’s wvw score and BG wouldn’t be seen as the underdog server.

Conspiracy Theories? Its super true, the gods of Blackgate waited for jojojoon to post his theories before formulating a battle plan. We all know Master theorists Jojojojojoon would come up with a plan so diabolical that making it fact would be the only option. The only flaw was we were not able to talk the NPCs into taking the week off as well.

I’ll do the meta for the rewards and then go back to PvP (presuming they fix the rewards, if not just meta and log in for daily).

Edit: Also Bloodlust will be absolutely critical during league… perhaps you can find more competition in the nodes. Of course it will get zerged from time to time, but has potential to be a roamers playground. Anyway hope you find your place to enjoy the game mate.

Well, there is a difference. We’re locked into the same possibilities for 2 months (especially for those of us who’s servers are at the top or bottom of the tiers). We’re currently in a match against the servers we’ll likely face in the leagues, and at the top of the league, no less. This match is no challenge. It’s boring. We vastly outnumber the enemy, so they blob. Then we blob. Then it’s just 2 blobs doing things while the rest of us K train.

I don’t know why these arbitrary divisions need to be made. Anet obviously listened when we said we didn’t want to be roflstomped in matchups that we’re obviously going to win/lose in, so they added the Swiss tiers or whatever. But obviously they were not paying attention or thinking things through, because it doesn’t really fix anything. NA silver tier is pretty much guaranteed to go to FA. Either that, or the majority of FA’s serious wvw guilds will be transferring off the server and it will collapse. Either way, gg Anet.

Yeah, about the only type I’d actually get hyped over a wvw season/tournament would be when the matches are actually balanced, when all servers have the same population (not necessarily time zone coverage). As is it now, I hate it, and will never get hyped up on a season/tournament.

It will be interesting to see JQ vs BG when things really matter.

Maybe for season 2 you could keybind all your abilitys and get away from clicking. Game Devs make customizing to your own preference really easy. In fact the first thing most players do upon entering a new game. They keybind and make macros and adjust settings.

Or maybe you have one hand then it’s cool to click.

Season 2 will play out like 1. Ppt grinders will be turned into bags. Bg you star in half this movie.

I’ve honestly been having the most amazing time on TC.
Coming from t3 about a month ago, t1 is just craziness. There’s fights everywhere all the time. There’s no lulls, no karma training… Just tons of people running into each other.
The amounts of bags/kills/Wxp isn’t matched in any other tier.
I kill a lot, I die a lot, it’s super fun.
Seeing the difference on the battlefield is quite astounding. The skill level is different than what I expected. It’s really improved my gameplay overall I think.
Having only been on one server before the recent move, you never really know what to expect. You think the server you’re on is good/efficient… but you never know what the experience is for people on other servers. You just assume you’re doing everything properly and well. Always having people to run with and great commanders to follow 24/7 is amazing. Especially for people who don’t just play NA prime.
Really looking forward to season 2 to see how everything plays out. Best of luck to everyone against our biggest and most menacing enemy… the evil green (maybe purple) queue monster!

Yay, unbalanced matchups for weeks. Having a harder time to complete the meta because of how unbalanced wvw matchups are, and still getting a much worst reward then the “winning” servers, of which we already know who they are going to be.

Yeah, so exciting… woohoo…

Keep bringing the noise TC and JQ! Some of the best WvW I’ve had all year!
