Hello to all out there

I have a little small question to do, as i am an old DAoC player myself, the thing i hate the most is ZERG, i just dont like it.

So i tried to look for a new proper home before arenanet lock us to our servers, and even if i thought that lower populated servers will be lower ranked, it seems that the opposite happens. Medium populated servers are high ranked, and very high populated are low ranked, making it for me impossible to figure out, which is the bracket that i will have the best chances to meet the least zergs possible.

I dont mind zergs normally if i have a proper group, i have done plenty of times 5vs20+ but as everyone i know stopped playing, i end up by myself, and seriously ;p going solo wvw and keep running and running all the time from zergs is not pleasant. I want to do my proper 1vs2, 1vs3 fights, and as these fights last for a while, i always end up giving up the fight and start running vs 10 people ;p

Edit: Oups forgot to say that i am seeking for an EU server.

I get a decent amount of small man fights in t3 on FA atm, but not during prime time. Granted I run with guild during prime time and solo during the day so it’s not an issue for me.

You’ll probably find lots of zerging across the board. But most of the T1/T2 also employ small team tactics. Small havoc squads of 3-5 players causing mayhem while the main force does it’s thing. I would suggest possible Storm Bluff Isle, or Tarnished Coast, and would suggest not joining servers currently winning their matchups.

Honestly I think your best bet would be to find a guild on a mid tier that runs multiple smaller squads, completing supply objectives and ninja’ing towers/keeps.

Also there’s plenty of guilds that have “special forces” that run around wiping much much larger forces.

This way if you you’ll have the opportunity to run with a smaller group or run with the zerg when you want.

I would say get your butt over to FA with us to be awesome, but Yaks Bend or Maguuma would likely be a good fit also.

You just need to find a good guild to run with, thats all.

We get plenty of small fights in T1 if you’re looking hard enough. You also get zerged down quite a bit.

The best thing you can do is go out knowing you’re going to get rolled, then be happily surprised if you’re not.

You’re going to find zergs everywhere you go. I am not to fond of them myself, which is why I tend to pick a tower/keep and stand watch/babysit the siege gear and call out movements.

I agree with etrigan above, that your best bet is just find a guild that matches your play time/schedule and run some small mans in WvW. You will often come across everyone else’s idea of “small man” which is 25 people, but you should have fun nonetheless.

Hey Kynoko, Yak’s Bend would be a comfortable fit for you IMO. We have several small group teams that roam together, with thier own Mumble channels as part of the Yak’s Bend Alliance. They tend to go where the immediate need is.
