Seperate BLOODLUST from KILL POINTS
So what do people think? Is the current system working? Or should Kill Points be independent of Bloodlust? Or should there be NO Kill Points at all, even? Or perhaps the compromise suggested above?
I disagree. I think there should be no bloodlust points for the reasons mentioned. But there should not be kill points either.
Kill points will discourage actual fighting and encourage runing away and “tower hugging”.
If there are points for kills and I’m a commander of a pug group of say 40, and I see a guild group of even half my size what am I going to do? Run straight for the nearest structure and get inside. I’m not going to risk giving the opposing server 40 points!
However – awarding more loot for player kills is what they should do. As the same pug commander, I’d choose to fight the other group for fun, experience, the off chance that we can beat them. I don’t care if they get loot from me but I don’t want to give them free points.
