I think it would be pretty cool if ANET could add titles for the amount of months you’ve been with a server. I’ve been with Blackgate since the beginning of gw2, and i think it would be nice to show off your dedication to the community you’ve been on for so long. Anyone else thinks this would be pretty cool?

I bet you tell everyone you’ve been on BG since the beginning.

Most veterans on a given server come to recognize one other as the months melt by. Still a neat idea to show a bit of server pride and it’s not like wvw players are drowning in titles that reflect dedication to the game type. Though one has to consider the vagaries of implementation and the risk of alienating others.

Not a bad idea but the last thing I want to see are even longer titles in wvw.

You can always turn off player Title, but i like the idea even more now with megaservers with everyone bunched up it would be nice to know where everyone is from.

I thought this post was about wvw, not pve.

Pretty funny if anyone mentions Blackgate all the haters come storming in, if i was to mention any other server no would of bothered feels good being on the darkside keep your tears coming.

What does it matter that the op is on blackgate for this title to mean anything? Some people enjoy server pride and it would be neat to see who has been on a server for ages.

Because everyone on Blackgate says they’ve been on Blackgate from day one, that they have never transferred, and aren’t band wagoners.

How do you think BG started omniblobbing the other T1 servers so hard? Transfers.

Why do you think everyone laughs at BG for being the #1 transfer server? Transfers.

With a server filled with 90% (if not more) transfers, it’s just a hilarious observation that every Blackgate player says they never transferred there.

I don’t think titles would be needed to show how long you’ve been with a server though. If you actively contribute to your community’s efforts, people will automatically know your name and remember it. Just because you’ve been on a server for x amount of time does not mean you have contributed more then people who have transferred after you. And I’m saying this as a person who has been on the same server (with the exception of one week ) since I first picked up the game.

Blackgate entered Tier 1 in March 2013 if my memory serves me correctly, well before the ‘Blackgate buys half the GW2 playerbase’ came around.

And lets be honest, any guild in Tier 1 and 2 has bought guilds. It’s a thing. People need to accept it and move on already.

Back on topic I guess, I wouldn’t mind having a title for it but I wouldn’t use it myself. It’s a bit tacky.

Just give us a loyalty trait, it goes up the longer your on a server :P

I like that idea. I think it suits the game’s theme of encouraging character development. You dump your tribe, you lose points.

I’m not originally from BlackGate, I was on TC for a week, when I started BlackGate was full and I transferred over because of my brother and RL friends being on BG. It was also before the server caps were raised and way before season 1.
