Having been on BP for a year and a half I became accustom to hearing “For the Pass” when they charged into a hopeless situation. After switching to HoD, I have learned “HoDOR!” which has its own charm.

What is the battle cry for your server?

Blackgate’s oceanic battle cry used to be “Believe with me!” and recently transitioned into “I Believe” and then if we wipe “We didn’t believe hard enough” … lol
- Derived from our previous season 1 tag line of “#Believegate”

Battle cries are great morale boosters, and good for a laugh

AR(EU) don’t really have one… most guilds and commanders have their own.

My guild’s not translating too well, but it’s along the line of “we’ll get (spill/make flow) their blood”.
One of the pug commander calls something like “are we crazy, or are we not? let’s go we’ll break them”.

Not real battle cry, but motivators…

I think most people in T1 will agree Blade is one of the Coolest and most Chill guys around.

I am not sure if * Swag Yolo* is a battle cry or comedy aimed at ourselves, but it is usually followed by either a victory or a run back from the waypoint….

Not really a battlecry, but a server custom nonetheless: Way back in the day, during the time of the DH/DR/IoJ rivalry, DH and DR accused us of only being good at PvDooring (I guess, since our OCX presence overwhelmed theirs). They renamed PvDooring to “IoJing”, and we’ve since taken on the term in a self-deprecating manner. When commanders ask for damage on gates, they always say “IoJ the gate”. Been over a year now, and we still say “IoJ the gate”.

At some point, we also did everything “For Mother Janthir”; if we wiped a zerg, it was for Mother Janthir, if we capped a keep, it was in the name of Mother Janthir, etc. Someone even wrote a Stalinistic treatise describing our WvW efforts in terms of its impact on “Mother Janthir”.

I’ve always liked screaming, “For the Yak!”, when I charge into battle with a group. That’s just me, I don’t think people like it =(

We just usually shout “BAGS” because that’s what we usually get when the battle ends.

After watching the S2 BG promo video, I find myself screaming what is dead may never die whenever I charge with my warrior.

It used to be here’s my hammer now eat it, eat it, oishii ?

of course my mic is on PTT so most of the time no one hears me scream those

I’m disappointed no one’s is “For Ascalon!”

The cry I see most on my server is “Skill lag, FFS!”

Asura charge, For science! retreat, Science save me!

Norn charge, Bring it one! retreat, To the bar!

Charr charge, For the legion! retreat, Rally up and stop dying!

Sylvari charge, (sorry got nothing) retreat, Run forest run!

Human, charge For the royalty! retreat, Run away, run away!

Way back on Yak’s Bend we used to use “Winter is coming” back when Honnor was running the community and I know Rena was pushing “The Evil Empire” for a while after the community shake up Prior to S1. Been a while since I played on Yak’s Bend but the original WvW community there was my favorite I’ve experienced.

“Kitten just yolo it, go balls deep” is what i say uncounsiously and one of my favorites is from a SEA commander that shouts “WE CAN WE CAN”
