We all understand that WvW is currently in a beta phase. Can we please have our server caps unlocked!? This is a big issue and will likely cause players to: 1. Quit trying to transfer. 2. Give up on WvW because of the massive outnumbered stance some servers are going through; Darkhaven being one. 3. quiting more than just WvW . Looking for some good responses on this issue and what some of the Developers will assure.

Nah bandwagoning is great. Keep joining those secondary servers. In EU T1 there are tons of people that have transfered to vabbi to board the T1 karma trains. I hope vabbi goes full and then Anet split them apart so that they go solo. Dropping like a stone will take a whole new meaning, lol.

they already are – ET…. the cost is so low and Anet is still stuck on 3 month links. By the time they get around to re-linking servers, bandwagon will just move again for another 3 months.

The linking is fail sauce as currently constituted.

if you dont like dh, transfer out. its only 500 gems to go to the server paired with bg, or you know, any of the other 3 small servers winning their tier’s match.

is it really failure when tons of people are spending 500 gems every 3 months and then the matches just get all mixed up anyways?

Yes there is no point to link and relink if players will just stack on the guest server for 500gems after each link. But the initial idea was great.

My bet is that the server caps are unlocked when we get a new link in a few months. What will be interesting is to see if servers campaign to fill in their gaps with coverage or if people attempt to determine what the pairing will be like.

Honestly though we know that scoring changes are going to be in the works. Which will take time.

Because the main server is full, assuming because it calculated both the main and guest servers population (sucks for the main server), players can be found transferring to the guest server for several reasons:

1. Further stacking
2. To join up with friends / guilds

It was sad but the world linking to boost the population was welcoming but not the aftermath.

Now there is a dilemma. If relink is to occur, it will break the people who transfer for 2nd reason. For people who transfer for the first reason, I don’t care and should let them burn but not for the people of 2nd reason.

The server status is super unhealthy.

make overflow maps so people dont have to wait in queue. then all of the band wagoners can sit in an empty map, and gain no rewards due to fighting no one. see how fast they switch.

Team Deathmatch for PvP – Raise the AoE cap for WvW – More unique events for PvE

I figured they left the cost the same as before because they want to encourage players to move to the lesser populated servers in the link, even the ones linked to T1. Once some numbers return to those servers maybe they’ll bump the cost up to 1800 gems and re-link appropriately. Wouldn’t be surprised if ET population has been boosted to an old T4/5 server size by now.

I don’t think WvWvW has gotten to a state where it’s worth the constant transferring just so friends can keep playing together. To me would be some of the most annoying and lazy monetization I’ve seen in an MMO and I’ve played Archeage.
