After reading about this on Reddit, I’ve been on the lookout and have noticed people transferring off our server now that they’ve “Tagged” it. I don’t understand the logic in allowing people to be here for one day yet, share in the benefit’s.

Shouldn’t this be changed to having to be on the map each week?

My understanding was that you could only work towards the season achievements on that initial server, no?

if they transfer off, they just shot themselves in the foot

No. I believe the server they logged onto at season launch will be the one they get the reward based off. So they could have logged into T1 WvW at launch, then moved to a lower tier server (to avoid queues, lag, etc), and complete their WvW achievements on another server. The reward is locked to that first server, depending on how they fare in the season.

TY Jayne, this is how I read it too. Which is such a poor choice of mechanics to me. I caught wind of this act by reading this thread on Reddit:

This is coming from an individual but, after seeing 2 guilds move already, it appears to be more wide spread. You should have to be in WvW for multiple weeks to get the reward. Something like requiring a person to be in WvW for week 1, 3, and 5, to be get the rewards.

Eh I wouldn’t stress it too much. Sure they’ll get a reward based on your hard work, but on the other side of the coin, the queues will die down a bit. And it’s just some virtual reward anyhow, even as anti-ethical as it is ..
