To help curb server hopping or surfing anet should consider equal fees for linked servers. It is not fair that a tier 12 server that is linked with a tier 8 gets cheaper transfers. So if lets say the opponent pays in gold for transfers its a lot cheaper. Come on we all know people do it. I feel that this is a loophole that people are taking advantage of.

They should normalize the xfer fees and lock any server that doesn’t need a link. Now that each linkage guarantees no linked server a T1 or T4 destination, having punitive xfer fees is unnecessary.

Totally agree. If you’re just going to have cheap transfers to the linked servers, then people are going to bandwagon. I say all servers in a link should have the same transfer cost as the highest pop server in the link.

With T1 un-linked, I’m not sure its as big an issue as the first go around. With DB mostly being in T1 matches this second go around, anyone who went the cheap route of xfering to IOJ ended up paying to move to DB eventually anyway. How many are going to pay twice (1 being at host prices) when they could have paid to go to the main in the first place going forward?

the bigger issue that has occurred in the past was getting around the full status of a host by xferring to the link…. I know DB/IOJ are like that now, but not sure how long DB has been full….

A few weeks now… and DB clearly does not need to be linked. They were on the rise I think fresh into t1 last linking and still was ‘very high’ for like a week after.

BG still definitely the biggest … but DB and JQ overnight presence still what will keep them in t1 moving forward. TC will be T2, likely unlinked…

Maybe IoJ goes to DH … and everyone will come to the forums and complain half their guild can’t play with DB anymore? Seems to be the popular new forum meta
