There is weirdness which is kind of a rivalry between TC and SoS because a major guild left TC and joined SoS. We in TC can’t help enjoying killing anyone we find from that guild, but it is bittersweet because we thought they were our friends. Lot of suspicion about spies and uneasiness when TC and SoS are matched up now.

So EP haven’t transferred back to TC with the end of the league?

No one’s allowed to transfer amongst servers ranked 4-9 until we see where we are balance wise. Its looking pretty good now.

They asked I just answered… I figured they wouldn’t be able to handle the truth. However, While we are at it. DH you have improved immensely. I have really enjoyed this weeks match up. Look at how calm and mild our matchup thread is. Now consider how SF has had 3/7 threads closed. Could it be? Could SF be wrong?

The Top server rivalries as of right now:
1. BG vs. SoR: They’ve been facing each other for almost a year straight. BG has had the upper hand more often than not; but SoR has remained in the fight until now.

2. TC vs FA: FA had the upper-hand at first then TC had a surge and became T1.5 and dominated FA for months. Now TC has lost a lot of it’s organization and FA got a 2nd infusion from IoJ. TC still has the staying power but FA can keep it close and possibly win if TC blinks.

3. SoS vs SBI: SoS has repeatedly rained on SBI’s parade. Destroying them and leading to their fall from T1, and later “breaking their fall” on SBI in T4. SBI is still looking strong after their huge recruitment surge, but no one knows how they’ll hold up against their long time nemesis until they meet again.

4. BP vs EB: These servers are mirror twins locked in combat. EB dominated for a 3 month stretch based upon their superior NA. Now BP has an advantage in their more diverse coverage; but with T4 in so much flux it’s impossible to know if it will stay that way.

For the sake of fair perspective, I went back and read the matchup. What did I find? The entire first page was filled with SF complaining about game balance and throwing in the towel. And then you wonder why all of your casual WvW’ers abandon you. Its important to think about how a server projects itself in the public forums. You wondered why people dislike SF and don’t transfer there.

Furthermore the DH poster is correct. Look at the matchup threads where DH hit HoD or SF and lost then read the matchup thread where SF was against HoD or DH and lost. You will see what everyone else sees.

Keep in mind that I am not talking specifically about you, but rather I am speaking to SF as a whole. SF has a very vocal majority who complain, whine, and are sore losers. That’s the public perception, but it can certainly be changed. I suppose this is getting off topic now though, because we are talking about why most servers that play SF dont like SF rather than actual rivalries.

Yes so SF should be judged by 2 people that said something on a random matchup thread…

BTW no one on SF cares why you “dislike” them…The point stands on its own, no matter the reason, people like to beat the bad guys.

Also if you knew your kitten from a hole in the ground you could read the AR posts and Kaineng posts saying stuff like:

“SF is obviously taking a break”
“SF seems burntout”

The thing people like you never seem to understand about SF, is that it is not this big Warmachine full of mindless zerglings, it is really about 70-80 die-hard WvW’ers that keep fairweathers (what ET/FC used to call our “MZ”) interested enough in WvW to keep us afloat.

Transfer over for a week and then you would see, its the same few names every day at the same times that keep the ball rolling, the weeks where we do well it is because we have some help from our fairweathers, the weeks we do poorly (like this week) is because those core group of players are taking more time off WvW than normal.

Also, would anyone care to actually admit they do play this game for PPT? I mean I would love for someone to just bend over and ready themselves for that forum war….

Furthermore the DH poster is correct. Look at the matchup threads where DH hit HoD or SF and lost then read the matchup thread where SF was against HoD or DH and lost. You will see what everyone else sees.

Keep in mind that I am not talking specifically about you, but rather I am speaking to SF as a whole. SF has a very vocal majority who complain, whine, and are sore losers. That’s the public perception, but it can certainly be changed. I suppose this is getting off topic now though, because we are talking about why most servers that play SF dont like SF rather than actual rivalries.

Righteousness, I would say that it’s a stretch for anyone to pretend to be an authority on their own server, let alone someone else’s.

Back before I quit for about 5 months DB had a pretty good rivalry going with FA/TC, but things quieted down while I was gone.

All in all it’s more enjoyable now and DB feels more “together” than we did back then. I still miss you TC guys though /wave

2. TC vs FA: FA had the upper-hand at first then TC had a surge and became T1.5 and dominated FA for months. Now TC has lost a lot of it’s organization and FA got a 2nd infusion from IoJ. TC still has the staying power but FA can keep it close and possibly win if TC blinks.

Just to clarify, the rivalry began long before FA got its first infusion of IoJ players (TC vs. FA vs. YB is when it started), and from memory FA only beat TC once or twice (out of twenty something matchups). Other than that I’m pretty sure you’re spot on.
