There is a little debate going on in our match-up thread and I was looking to get some outside input.

When making the following statement: “My server was a Tier 1 , Tier 2 server”

Do we :

A- Consider only the week long matches as reference.

B- Consider the 3 day and 24 hour matches as reference.

Everything before the weeklong matches was essentially a qualifier to get into the proper tier, in my opinion. 24-hour and 3-day matches don’t count.

I personally would only count the week long matches

On a similar topic, when was the first week long match? I took a break from GW2 during that time. I came back either at the end of the BG/DB/FA match or the middle of the FA/SoS/Mag match but people were still talking about the previous match. The mos site has a week before BG/DB/FA but only for EU and no one has ever mentioned a week long match for that week.

Sept. 14th was the first week long match-up.

Anyone who was serious about the game and WvW was not considering those first matches as important.

week long are a different animal from the short matches

Really, the 1-3 day matches is what put us in our original brackets. The argument was that someone said we didn’t fall from 2 – whatever bracket so fast. We were put in a high Tier and then abandoned, so then we fell fast to the proper tier. I really wish you guys would read. lol
