It is bugged, the best way that I know of to counter this and keep the waypoint uncontested for a while is to place a flame ram in the middle of where they spawn, it makes the enemy npcs that spawn want to attack it first, now remember u gotta keep that ram there, siege despawns after a while so refreshing helps. What is going on is, when an enemy scout spawns itll unload on any npc that might be near the gate, their misfire hitting the gate causes the keep to get contested, not them spawning, even you fighting them or them fighting your guards doesnt contest the keep, its just the misfire that hits the gate.

I’ve reported it a couple of times. It’s not game breaking, so they don’t care.
It kinda is game breaking. WP’s make a huge impact on the game, and they are expensive.

Ok, it is game breaking. They still don’t care.
I’ve had those spawning without using any kind of ram or anything and it doesn’t put the WP in contested state. I’m not defending this bug just saying that it doesn’t completely nullify a WP. If it did do that then it would be game breaking and you see a heck of a lot more QQ on the forums about it.
Maybe this is something they’ll fix in February.

The ram thing only helps to lessen the chance of WP being contested its by no means a fix, but its a cheap solution to having it contest less often.

It’s definitely a bug.
We found a similar issue in these keeps right after ship and fixed that particular bug, but this post actually helped us find a different bug that could also lead to this behavior, so thank you!
We already have a fix for this that we will be testing internally, once that fix is live we will hopefully never see this issue again.

Desolation has had this problem this week. We’re green (lowlands) and I believe it was previously red (arborstone). This happened at around 3am-6am on a loop. We’ve had similar problems with Anza in the last few weeks. But Durios is by far the worst affected on EB, with enemy Veteran Archers spawning on walls as well.

My server is red this week, i believe the guard were spawning blue, but i’m not sure, mostly noticed they were hostile.
Byron and I are talking about the same things anyway, since we’re on the same match-up, i’m from arborstone.
