Guild Wars 2

I recently came back to GW2, and my characters are on Gates of Madness. I want to get into WvW a lot more, but as far as I can tell, there is no server organization, website, mumble, anything.

Is it worth trying to find people to organize with, or should I switch servers? Anyone have a similar experience they want to share?

I’m willing to bet there are multiple guilds on GoM that use voice comms. Ask around in team/map chat while playing, and you’ll likely find one.
While it would be surprising to me, if you don’t manage to find one, you could always start your own. If a guild that uses voice comms doesn’t already exist, there are likely many people ready to join your new guild based on voice comms.

If you go through the matchup threads you should be able to spot the active GoM WvW guilds and players.. they can point your towards the server resources.

you should come over to Dragonbrand, we have a loyal WvW community and good coverage. If you play NA time then there will always be an epic battle. Also there is a server TS, you can always hop in vent with EA too : )

I’m sure there is several voice coms available on GoM. Most servers have an alliance and I would like to think that the alliances have at least 1 main vopice com available, just ask around, theres plenty of good folks on GoM that I’m sure would help you out or point you in the right direction.

Welcome back! Things are definitely a lot quieter in wvw this week due to a combination of spring break and the new adventure box event, but stick around and give us a chance. We do have an alliance wbsite, a dedicated teamspeak server for both public and guild use, and plenty of wvw-focused guilds that favor coordinated small group play over zerging. I’m sending you a PM right now with all that info.

This is awesome to hear! I didn’t really want to transfer anyway, because I like the guild I’m in (HPV). I’ll be sure to check out everything, and it seems like my guild is part of the alliance anyway, which is awesome.

Coming from an ex-GoM fighter, they have wonderful command and guilds there designed for WvW; I highly recommend that you stay. Right now… Things just aren’t the same in T8.
