lol..how can give a penalty to a server that stops to play cose no change of wining….or cose the dont like to be loot bags (idk what hapens here but they have trere reasons)

maybe instent of blame the servers we try even harder to force anet to take a look more close on wv3 instnt of asking wv3 videos from the players so they promote ther product that atm is failing more and more each day that pass

How would the ranking software know when a server “gives up”? What if a few major guilds decided they were going to take a break, or people went on vacation? What if one of the servers is just getting completely destroyed? Yeah, giving them a penalty for the next week so they lose even harder, making people not want to go into WvW at all, is effin ridiculous. My server is at 95 PPT with no bloodlust right now and guess what, it ain’t because we gave up son! There is no way to quantify “giving up” in this game.

Lol that’s a horrible idea. Like kicking a kittened kid when he’s already unconcious on the ground.

All its going to do is is snowball the point decrease – Server give up a pointless match (either because they are tired of the enemies, or tired of never winning, etc), then next week they get less points and cant compete, which cause them to surrender, which mean that the week after that they get even less points… You get the idea.

So you beat the snot out of a server with bigger numbers and better coverage AND you want to rub their nose it in…. ahhh T1 problems.

This would be a horrible idea and is funny considering that the OP came from Blackgate but recently transferred to JQ (look at the post history, and I also remember him from MERC on BG).

NO, Servers should be given encouragement to keep fighting at least to keep WvW interesting for the duration of the week.

Doesn’t tell the whole story though, as ER and JS have at least come out and fought when they can bring out numbers.

Oh this is rich coming from a guy on FA… wait… I agree with your overall point.

When they fix all the population issues in WvW. Make PPT appealing, and make it so that a server can’t collapse overnight, the we can talk about your idea.

Like the other guy said, you would be better off penalizing stacked servers (wherever the bandwagon goes), and we know that is unrealistic too.

What a silly statement. The point spread is about the same as it is between first and second place as it is second and third. Also at this very moment said last place server is leading PPT. You just happened to take a screen shot during weak coverage for that server and heavy coverage for another.

I’m from JQ and just last week on the last couple of days we “gave up” and pretty much phoned it in. I saw JQ drop to +55 at one point and maybe even lower. When you know you’ve been beat, rest up, enjoy some real life, and come back the next week ready to go again. There’s no need to rub it in, or insult other servers because they recognize the obvious. It happens to everyone.
