Q:

I’d like to know why our siege in wvw times out after an hour. We spend hours and money on siege in the game. Yet it is wasted if we can’t be on top of it in time. We are in fighting at one end of hills or bay, etc., and at the other end our siege times out and is gone then we have to put out more money on the siege and pray there are enough supplies to build if the enemy moves to the other end. We shouldn’t have to worry about it. There should be a limit as to how many siege we have on the map, I understand that, but if we have to worry about them timing out and building then we should have an unlimited amount of supplies for building. We are paying for these siege, we shouldn’t have to lose them just because we couldn’t get to them in time.

Love the game but make it fair. You want us to spend “real” cash, make it worth it.

So someone could siege-cap your borderland you could never make it disappear unless the enemy were to come in and take your stuff? What if you needed to put down siege elsewhere on the map?

On the positive side of this, siege used to have a 15minute timer. Simply ask in ts/mapchat to refresh siege timer and perhaps people might do it.

IMO 1-hour is too short a time, but the timer is indeed necessary for the reason Chaba stated above. Also, there’s a local siege cap as well as the map-wide one, so sometimes you have to let poorly placed siege time out so you can build properly placed siege.

There was a time where siege wouldn’t decay and the siege placement cap would get maxed out denying anyone from any team the ability to drop siege…

On GoM a few years ago, against HoD and DH there was a day that GoM maxed the siege cap and built a few golems forcing the enemy teams to PVD everything and be defenseless…

1 hour decay timers are short, but they are needed.

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.
