i am sick of tired of siege weapons de-spawning at a time when you need them the most. i’ll give you an example what happened earlier today. I was at Elona Bl’s, the entire map was pretty much blue and we only had one tower in the south-west side, closest to our spawn. The tower only had reinforced walls, the reinforced gate was almost done 95%. And mind you we were outmanned. Earlier we built a catapult and an arrow cart behind the gate and 2 arrowcarts at the top. we went to flip some camps and we had some fights more like skirmishes with Viz and Elona groups. Out of nowhere a Viz zerg comes and starts attacking our tower (the only thing we hold in the entire map). So we all go inside our tower, horrified and shocked to find out all of our siege weapons disappeared , vanished – gone. i was about cry with frustration and i didnt take us long to realise our final hopes of defending our tower against 20+ zerg was gone.
One thing i dont understand why does siege weapons despawn when you only have lets say 5 siege weapons in the entire map. imo this is so wrong, ill understand siege despawning when you too much or when you over cap but when u have couple i dont understand that. I hope A-net looks into this matter so that siege weapons wont despawn when you’re outmanned or have one tower and/or couple of siege weapons in the entire map.
Who else gets frustrated when this happens?

I also question why does the top server in a matchup get breakout events? I thought the concept of the breakout event was to help the underdog(s) get a little boost.

You’re thinking of breakout events way too logically; when a server is pushed off the map and have no towers or anything, the people on that server likely aren’t having fun and therefore may quit playing the game.
Logically thinking, it makes sense to help the smaller server stay on the map and not the winning server; however, ignore the logic and think about the individuals who can’t go out and have fun because the losing server is camping their spawn area… that’s just not fun or great gameplay at all. It’s a good thing to have breakout events for every server, regardless of how far ahead they are.
Send someone to tag the siege now and again, doubt Anet will change anything anytime soon.
And yeh, it’s annoying when you spend lots of time and gold only to come back and see that none of the randoms that ventured through even bothered to tag the siege. Or use it. Or report enemies beating on the gates :P

its not about money or gold, but the supplies you need to build them. We ran up and down from supply camps trying build them since at the moment we only had 4 people in the entire map.
