Siege cap griefers

Sent a email to exploits@arena.net twice. Most of SoS has reported him in game and done the same. Sent a pm to Devon as well. 2 weeks and counting. Hopefully gets looked at someday.

When I saw the siege capping exploit first occurring, I knew at the moment that if Anet did not act quickly and decisively (banning them), it will become a huge problem as it becomes part of the “meta.” Now, we have multiple servers sending spies over to other servers to siege cap to help their server win. The server that does this sieging capping the best will have a huge advantage in wvw.
Hi Anet,
SoS has been reporting a couple people siege capping by building lots of useless siege in last match on EB border and this week our home borderland in garrison. we have reported him in game. sent email to exploits@arena.net etc but still he is on today and keeps building useless siege and siege capping the map. What is the most efficient way to get this taken care of because normal channels are taking TOO long.
Given all the unacknowledged and unanswered forum complaints, in-game reports, and emails on this topic, I’m pretty sure that anything involving ANet will not be the most efficient way to get this taken care of. I’d suggest flooding the other server with secret agents (probably thieves stacking stealth to avoid the NPCs) that you purposely allow to live near the supply depots in your towers and keeps to kill the miscreants.

Eventually, it won’t be just normal coverage that will cut it, but also spy and sabotage coverage.
Such a shame.

By taking no action, Anet ENCOURAGES this kind of action which really takes the fun away from the game. TC spent 2 weeks screen capping and recording videos of 2 certain players siege griefing, and Devon carter even said Anet would hold a meeting about it on Monday last week, and would bring down “the ban hammer” if they found it worthy of taking action against.
Guess they decided they like griefing, spies, and sabotage; cuz no action was taken.
The problem is, how do you stop these lowlife griefers without impeding the legitimate people who throw down a lot of siege?
I’m not trying to give Anet an excuse here, but the problem is not a simple one…
Lets say they did limit the amount of siege that a person can throw down. What would that limit be? How would you code it? How long would it take to implement that code? Will that code interact with something else in the game?
I’m sure there are a lot of other things that I haven’t even thought of as well.
Coming in with the ban-hammer for such a thing would seem the simplest solution. But what happens if Anet starts getting complaints about commanders or players ‘dropping too much siege’ during a legitimate attack on a tower or keep?
(You want to tell me that griefers wouldn’t do that?)
The only real solution to problems like this is having actual ‘Referees’ watching WvW. But I doubt that Anet or NCsoft would really want to pay people to do that…
Which leaves us legitimate players in this unfortunate position. Keep screen-shotting the lowlifes. Keep reporting them. Keep bringing it up in threads like this.
It might take a while, but the squeaky wheel does eventually (hopefully) get the grease…

I think trolls should have their computers smashed. ’Its all part of the game. U mad bro?’

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to look at the submitted screenshots and ban people accordingly. If Anet gets multiple reports and (incriminating) screenshots on a player, it shouldn’t wait 2+ weeks to ban him/her.
Anet seems to ignore that news travels fast when it comes to exploits etc.
There hasn’t been a day in the last 10 days that i haven’t run into rams placed on the inside of towers and keeps. Similar trends have appeared in other servers as well.
Perma-ban or “temp- ban until further investigation” it doesn’t matter …get those people out of the game.-
