Lately a few guards in my guild has decided to take up one of their staff sigil slots with Superior Sigil of Water. The overall discussion on our guild forums are that the water sigil giving procs on hit and having a healing guard does a good bit of aoe heal for your zerg. It heals up to 5 people but if you have enough guards running and each of those guards running with staff and spamming 1. The sigil will proc, the cool down is on each enemy not on the sigil so if your staff is hitting 5 players thats 5 chances to proc this aoe heal. Our zerg fights have lasted a good bit longer and we’re finding that each fight has better outcomes now. We’re still testing on warriors and other front line classes but for now the census on a guard is that the water sigil is in fact very useful.

Wait, what? The Sigil itself NEVER goes on Cooldown?

No, I don’t think so. Doesn’t trigger often enough to have a per-target timer.
