Guild Wars 2

I’ve been getting disconnected since the last patch. Tried every setting available… tried running in compatibility mode… hell, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I’m starting to think I should keep it uninstalled because you guys honestly need to get your kitten together. I know it’s not only me, but when I’ve got 20+ people following me and I keep dropping that’s not fun for anyone. Mid-fight people are disconnecting left and right. The skill lag is honestly unplayable sometimes. So can we please fix this already or are you guys just going to pretend there’s nothing wrong?

But cannons and repair hammers doe… amirite? I’ve honestly never seen a company so out of touch with a game mode. You’re giving me flashbacks of archeage.

I’m honestly surprised about the communication between anet and their players. I wasn’t really a mmo guy till guild wars 2 came along and I got hooked on wvw.

Are all gaming companies like this or is this the norm in the industry? I can’t really believe these big mmos just cash in on players and leave them out to dry, doesn’t seem smart or successful for a long term run. And the last HoT expansion was not a complete product, how is that ok?

I’m starting to see why I stayed away from mmos in the first place about hearing horror stories of failure after failure, just a waste of money.

Why are you surprised? No communication is standard practice for Anet, they are by far the absolute worst gaming company when it comes to communication. You shouldn’t be surprised the WvW community has been trying for literally years to bridge the gap with no success and then they wonder why we are “hostile”.

If you praise them they might reply but other then that don’t expect anything.

And yes the Stability of the game has been horrendous as of late, but ya I agree, lets get some repair hammers in game because stability of the game is overrated.

Well it’s not like they are totally ignoring us….. I mean just look at all the threads they locked today. I especially enjoyed them shutting down the “who do you want to be linked with” thread and calling it a match up thread, they are clearly paying attention to what is being discussed lol.

As far as DC’s go my T1 account DC’s a good ten times as much as my T2 account and even on empty bl’s the skill delay is noticeably longer, EB just isn’t even worth playing on. I prefer glassy builds but if you have to wait .5-1.5 seconds for a skill to go off you are pretty much kittened.

I noticed that as well. Conversations and communication between players is locked and killed. I understand the more toxic postings, but the ones recently locked were actually vital information they could gather to give the players what they want in wvw.

How they are acting just isn’t sustainable and intelligent. It’s quite odd and hopefully other future mmos are using this as a learning experience.

I find I don’t crash after setting GW2-64.exe to high priority mode. Just me though.

I crash sometimes but I’m playing on a potato. I never DC. Not trying to be a troll but just saying maybe it’s on your end. I ‘ve had problems in the past where my connection will drop because of line noise (DSL) mostly when it’s raining. But with a better internet it hasn’t happened in a year or so.

This guy isn’t wrong.

I have a very good system and was also getting disconnected quite often, once an hour was not uncommon. I then learned from a coworker that the cable modem, provided a few years ago by my ISP, was outdated and most likely my problem. I was running a DOCSIS 2 modem, even though DOCSIS 3 has been out since 2006 and 3.1 since 2013. My ISP never let me know these new modems were available even though I had often complained about speed and connectivity issues. But when I asked specifically for a DOCSIS 3 modem, they were happy to upgrade me for no charge. They simply don’t advertise it. Suddenly I went from 5Mbps to 50Mbps with no change in service, no change in anything but the modem. Since I upgraded of course I have not had a single disconnect other than an actual server crash when everyone gets booted. Not saying this is your issue as well OP, but do realize your ISP could be playing a role with your disconnects as well.

He just got his router last Tuesday so I doubt its an outdated router issue.

DCs were really bad last night ocx time. I and others in my guild dc’ed multiple times.
