Guild Wars 2

A friend and me tried to take camps this week, but someone else beat us to it. Don’t think we were the only ones bored with the golem stuff.

So with having no luck taking camps all week, and finding we were bored, We came up with some boundaries in queensdale, and yes, we played hide and go seek. Yes, I am not kidding.

One would go into the city, the other would hide, then give hints to where we were hiding. Yes, we were that bored, Yes I won last time.

So what did you guys do???

I played spvp and did some map completions.

Mostly GW1, a little bit of sPvP and…oh yeah I decided not to buy hot.

What I do normally, but with a few times operating a golem here and there. Had some interesting ZvZ fights with golems and on-foot players on both sides. A couple of epic fights in an enemy’s garrison too.

When I did log in, it was only for my daily log in reward. I did some fractals on my alt account because I’m really in to PvE according to Mike. I found out he was wrong though, I’m really not in to PvE as I was able to confirm to myself by trying PvE again.

So basically, I spent some time away from the game. It gave me time to decide to not buy the expansion and I’m currently looking for a new game to play. The lack of response to all of the WvW players cries for help was a major turn off and I think that a company that does not care about their customers is a company that I will not support.

Didn’t play this week, because of that BS.

Come on Anet, we’re WvW players and not PvE’rs.
So pls keep this s… out of WvW.
We WvW player like to fight against guild, blobs or roam groups and not this crap.

Well I have logged in and my guild and I have had a ball running around in golems fighting people in other golems and making more gold and leveling up more then we would in Silverwastes.

One night in bay we took down all the walls before we capped the lord.
One day we had a massive 40 v 40 golem fight.
Tonight we are doing a huge server wide golem processional and funeral (cliff jump)to celebrate the end of a very fun golem week.

Been so much fun. So while people have been complaining and hiding from teh golem event we have been having fun.

We have recruited a huge amount of eager to learn new WvWers that have joined our teamspeak and contrary to popular belief stayed with us.

While everyone may not like the golem event, and to each their own, A smart person capitalizes on it.

There were probably more fights and roamers in eotm this week, so I AFK’d near S SM and waited for someone to bow to me and we would duel. This was the whole week.

I think every roamer in our Matchup did the same thing, never seen so many people wanting to duel before, earlier today there was about 10-15 of us from each server just dueling.

Did my dailies. Finished Season 2. Been always meaning to do that. Could make the time now.

Worked on grinding materials for the greatsword skin I always wanted.

It felt good being able to ditch my wvw responsibilities for a week. Needed the break honestly.

Tried the event. Just couldn’t get into it.

Played Tera, Path of Exile, & Dragon Age Inquisition.

Watched the first season of Rick & Morty

Watched season 3 and part of season 4 of Archer

Watched season 6 of Adventure Time

Worked on season two living story, walked my dog, watched Princess Bride (sniff, such a great movie), went to the gym, even put a toe in EoTM.

Witcher 3. Installed ESO last night, as well. Bought it for 15 bucks.

I finished crafting a Legendary, did some achievement point grinding, finished personal story on Thief, dailies in PvE section of the game, world boss train and oh, did some Bite-Sized Candy Corn Elemental farming in Bloodtide Coast.

Friday: Actually, was pretty good. Played a few hours into reset.
Saturday: Meh, still decent activity but mostly I logged on for daily and did a fractal.
Sunday: Teq, Tried Guild Run, mostly just karma trained.
Monday: Teq, and then wvw dailies. WvW is pretty dead at this point
Tuesday: Teq and logged off
Wed: Just daily rewards and TP
Today: I’ll try to get princess.

Played the witcher 3

Tried it a couple of times just to try to find the fun. But bug abusers and stupid golems is all i saw. So some reading instead

Logged in for daily-reward. Sometimes did some pvp if I felt like it.
Other then that, played any other game that popped up into my mind.

Manage to really mess with the other two teams with the party in borders like we always do, it was fun, taking out golem pilots, used a wvw booster, and I think gain at least 15 levels this week, and while we are still in 2nd place, it was not a half bad time, even when defending more targets then normal came out to be slaughter.

Watched the queues on Riverside all day long…maybe I’ve missed some free beers or something like that. This is the only explanation for all those queues.

RL, sleeping, Witcher 3, Raiding and PvP.
WvW pretty much deaded, for most of the week.

I played WvW. Just like usual.

SPVP, some fractals. Finished watching Sense8

Tried to have fun any way I could.

Fortunately I went back to work and didn’t have to bear it, lol.

Edit: On the time I do get to play, I’m in PvE where Anet says I spend most of my time anyway farming gold for my Pre.

- finished my bachelor thesis
- listened to my PC downloading GTA V
- played some GTA V with a friend
- started rewatching HP movies for the good ol’ times
- finished 4th season Dr. House
- few pve dungeon runs (SHAME)

in case you wonder: semester ended ~2 weeks ago, last bachelor exam was friday, so my only week off before I have to get back studying for the next exam I enter WvW and Anet screams ‘fvch you’ right into my face ;-( I had been looking forward to this free week for a month :/

Did some mindless gold grinding like a “proper” Gw2 player I guess…

Sniped players off the back of golem trains for the first couple days, then divided time between levelling another character and mucking around in a different game the rest of the week. Anything that made WvW interesting seems to be gone this week.

Spent a bit looking at new games and ended up trying out Heroes of the Storm. Enjoying it so far.

I played other games.

Played ARK and watched 2 seasons of Fringe.

Farmed SW a bit, did some iron node mining, but mainly just didn’t bother logging in.

map completion. no fun roaming in WvW with those golem buff exploit cheaters around. i blame Anet for failing to address the issue.

Some ktraining in between sessions of basement renovations.

Golem week gave me the opportunity to finally grind out my Fractal Capacitor (Infused).

I stumbled upon Leaf of Kudzu during a level 4 Fractal so that’s pretty cool, of-course it’s far too expensive to turn into a legendary for me, I’ve never seen the appeal with Kudzu anyway, and I don’t want to sell it, so I’ll sit on it for now :S

No reason to ever do fractals again yay

Came to forums more, bought and tried out some new games.

Even the week before Golem Rush began (as soon as it was announced) I quit GW2 until… well until I feel like coming back, if I ever do. But reading how they were even too lazy to fix the golem buff exploit on player characters, watching a few well made state of WvW videos, reading some good posts about how out of touch Anet is with their WvW playerbase and knowing how they don’t really care about it AT ALL, after two weeks i still feel no urge to log back in and I’m just fine with that.

I went for another playthrough of Divinity: Original Sin. After that I will go for another playthrough of Pillars of Eternity, still haven’t had the time to go for Withcer 3, so yeah. I’ve got plenty to do.

I had a good time roaming around with my guild, focusing on destroying all of the enemy golems thay we could. We would often bait them to locations in which we had prepared siege. It was great fun.

Kingdom Rush and Don’t Starve. Both from steam summer sale.

I gave up about an hour after reset .. and then spent way to much time on these forums hoping for a reset or even a response.
Its been an education. Some well written, intelligent ans informative discussion .. made me think !

I will be back on the BL tonight with my Guildies

Tried some unranked Spvp. Got QQ for stomping someone in a group fight. Like im really supposed to let you get away with 5% health. win/lose who cares it’s unranked. So I stopped playing. Worst week ever.

Played some tf2 for the first time in years. lmao at soldiers with parachutes. I never would had thought of that.
