We have a common goal, we have a common focus, and we have proven our quality to each other in 6 weeks of very tough fighting. If there is a group of WvW players who are able to dominate tier 1, I am pretty sure it can be found in the guilds of these 3 servers.

I started the Janthir initiative in order to unite the NA block of IOJ. Immediately after we integrated and began working together, planning, and executing as a team, we saw posts from SoR and Blackgate asking where all the new transfers to IOJ came from. The real answer is there were none, we actually lost MANY guilds over the course of the 6 weeks.

In tier 2 and in many other tiers there is stagnation. The way the glicko system is designed actually favors IOJ more than the other 2 servers in t2 to be able to make the jump to T1 quickly. Please consider that for a moment.

Janthir has a plan and a commitment to excellence and teamwork. I think there is a larger strategy that we can explore. Let’s set up a meeting to pool our common interests and strengths, and lets make our common goals a reality.

TC is invited to come on up whenever they are ready, The Fort Aspenwood guys don’t seem too keen let you though. The sad facts of the matter is that consolidation is the key to both survival and success in WvW. If any guilds on any server are willing to come to IoJ , leave egos at the door, and work together to achieve a common goal then please feel welcome, server transfers are open!

This is off topic but for BG/IoJ/SoR people: can we make it a common goal to make the JP a place where we don’t fight, just ran through it on first time, got to end then I get ganked by a thief and mesmer, it just stinks…… took alot of time and pain to get there, and I did no attacking

IoJ has definitely stepped up their game.

However, you stand a very good chance of being knocked out of t2 this week or next. Oceanic/European guilds should strongly consider Sanctum of Rall. Despite being severely undermanned most of the time (we didn’t even have queues last reset night) we still manage to make Blackgate sweat.

Blackgate is a powerful server, to be sure, and IoJ is showing some organization… however SoR has a very strong community of dedicated players. Give us coverage and we’ll give you t1.

Now, if the main IoJ guilds would transfer to SoR… we’re talking dream-team level. We’d thrash Blackgate and be a very strong contender for the #1 spot in North America.

If you look at Sea of Sorrows, and how they achieved success as a team, you can see that all the pieces of a single successful T1 server are in place in Tier 2.

Whether or not we have the wisdom or ability to create something larger out of them is up to us. I certainly did not expect to have everyone jump on a bandwagon at a first shout, but if there are like-minded people and guilds out there, I want them to know there is both the option and the potential for something amazing that exists in the T2 community as a whole, we just have to have the perspective to recognize it.

Agreed. SoR’s NA primetime combined with IoJ’s Oceanic presence would be a force to be reckoned with. Add in a nice sprinkle of Blackgates 24/7 presence and we’d have a juggernaut of a server, with powerful guilds constantly hitting all maps full force.

We’d also have queues a mile long, but we’d win.

i agree more Oceanic presence would be good for SoR but i wont switch servers

I like the idea, I’m just tired of rebuilding guild influence and upgrades. This is the 3rd time we’ve had to rebuild upgrades and not switching servers and doing that again. So will stay on SoR unless something happens with my guild which is unlikely. GL though.

Edit btw we don’t care about T1 or winning. There is no reward for winning or going to T1. Only thing I don’t like is quitters, and defeatist attitudes, combined with noobness. As long as I don’t run into those types in WvW I have fun regardless.

This is the situation at the moment, to be up front and honest, with no thin skins. T2 has great fights, but it is far from balanced. The only tier which is balanced is T1.

The ideal situation would be to have the WvW community all on 6 servers, with rotating matchups and no tiers(PvP servers anyone? ), and PVE servers organized into a different server match up pool for WvW. However, I do not see any indication of action on the part of Arenanet to implement such a simple and probably enjoyable plan for the WvW community.

Therefore I urge the WvW community at large to:

A) join IoJ, Blackgate, and SoR, and end the stalemate for a week or two, at which point we will be back to square one
B) transfer off of T1 servers to T2/t3 servers to spice things up
C) Demand for Arenanet to give us dedicated W3 servers where we do not have to compete for population cap with Frosty the Snowman, The Crazy Pumpkin Lord, and god knows what else is coming.

I am tired of Anets bizarre match up policies and the tier system, which pleases no one and is only truly applicable to 1/9th of the servers/guilds in GW2, if that.

This made me laugh. I guess that’s our place in the Eternal Alchemy.

But the glicko system is suppose to provide the most even match ups as possible. It is a good system. Why does it matter? They’re only server names after all. I don’t see why you care if you’re enjoying your matches in t2.

In the state of the game interview/conference it was stated that there will be a WvW update coming Q1/Q2 2013 that will change WvW a lot.

I don’t think you are sure. You’re crying about your tier being the same over x amount of weeks. Basically you’re saying people should stack IoJ so then they dominate t2 so they can get a huge rating spike and jump to t1. My post has plenty of relevance, don’t be mad scrub.

If you read the entire thread you can see that I in fact am just suggesting that players migrate to one or all of the T2 servers while obviously advertising for my own in the process. It’s understandable that you being from SoS, the last thing you would want to see is a server with not just the coverage to match you, but the organization and skill, so I can understand why you might be threatened by this thread. You are welcome to come on down, transfer to SoR or BG and look for the FIST tag. I am making a few videos and I am sure if you look for me I can get you a cameo.

ET currently has the lowest population. if there is any new WvW global coordination, ET should be the ideal place to transfer to in surge.

It would be more than ideal for folks from IoJ to migrate to SoR. As I understand it, some of the EU and Oceanic’s are or have moved off IoJ which is very unfortunate. A shame really, with SoRs day coverage and IoJ’s EU/Oceanic and the boost from their NA primetime folks, BG would just dominate everything. We really do have a great community here at SoR and would more than welcome you folks over here.

Not threatened. I’m all for tighter competition, we only beat JQ by 3k last week. But stacking people and trying to create a super server is going to unbalance a few tiers even more.

On a side note, I actually transferred to Anvil Rock this week to try out some smaller scaled WvW.

Come janthirians, you know you want to create a superserver.

While I agree that combined force of BG’s euro force, SoR’s NA force and IoJ’s Oceanic force would be worthy of #1 in T1, I wouldn’t enjoy the queues =w=
