I think there’s a unanimous agreement that the matchup between SoS and SoR was the best matchup SoS has seen since launch.

But now we’ve moved up a tier and have been completely steamrolling HoD and IoJ. The thing is, the movements in the point tally serves better as a matchmaking system than a ladder system. In fact, Arenanet should start pairing up servers that have similar player attendance and let them fight it over until the next great deviation in server population happens, and scores get lopsided again.

Now all we need is another server that can compete on equal footing and we’d solve the matchup for 3 servers!

you don’t need to be concerned about that, just give it one week or two and we’ll fight again. It’s some kind of balance that happens with ratings, if both servers keep winning we’ll meet again someday.

Yeah, thats true Kohai, I can see SoS hitting Tier 1 this week, and I gather SoR will hit tier 2.

But then this might happen:
SoS gets steamrolled in tier 1. SoR steamrolls in tier 2. We go to 2, they go to 1. Now we are separated again.

Theoretically, if all servers are matched up correctly against people of even footing, they should remove the point tally completely, because it will only disrupt the balance.
