Solo/Duo Roaming classes need some info
Thief is by far the most fun solo roamer and it doesn’t hurt to bring two. Because as a thief, you can chase AND escape. For me, being able to kill ppl is the most fun thing in WvW roaming. Roam with double thieves means you can simultaneously burst and kill even some tanky opponents.
Another good choice is druid. Have mobility and easy to survive. The playstyle in a duo would be that druid attract attention and tanking while thief picking out ppl one by one. But druid doesn’t have good burst damage himself to actually kill ppl.
Scrapper is also decent, and the synergy is similar to druid. You can also bring good utilities including anti-stealth that really puts other thieves off-guard. The class struggles against good kiting though.
Last two choices I can also recommend are mesmers and warriors. Both can hold their own solo roaming. They also both bring in good damage. In a duo with thief, after any opponent is pressured by you, the thief can easily finish them off.

Opinions is all you gonna get. Thats why its a forum.
Especially when the correct answer to those questions is any class. There are a few combos that synergize better than others, but if the players behind them dont know how to play them well… synergy is irrelevant.
What it depends on is more the purpose of the build. As an example, 2 daredevils could sneak around easily and doesnt leave one of them exposed, like a dd+reaper combo would. But on the other hand, you cant do kitten when facing bigger groups. 2 coordinated dragonhunters could faceplant 10 stacked people and wreck them, but they cant exactly sneak around.
Thieves, thief and mesmer. The invisibility is an op thing. 2 thieves have a very strong synergy, if you die with a thief after a few hours of practice delete the game and play helokitty
Just the WvW

Just go druid, and tell your friend to go druid as well, and cheese the kitten out of everyone. You will be unstoppable in pair as well as solo.
I like druid, i try it in spvp and he’s amazing.. so for duo with DD what r the best weapons? GS/staff?
And for solo?
Thank you guys!

I run my druid on longbow/staff, and i have no issues bursting down anything, i dunno what the guy earlier was talking about saying druids lack burst. it’s versatile in wvw and has no problem duking it out in 1v1’s. lotsof condi clear/aoe healing, strong burst with you/your pet coordinating quickness/fury on attacks well.
Druid is the most fun roaming, especially in the current meta.
May our BL break all foes. Fear our babou!

As others have mentioned double Daredevil you can prey on anyone and gank solo players, escape groups and generally be annoying. It won’t get you many friends and will most likely make you a big target for most servers after a while for corpse jumping, siege throwing and general BM.
Druid especially the PVT concentration sigil staff builds are stupidly tanky and you can 2v1 easily on them. Double druid you can troll groups, survive and the builds synergise well with each other. Druid also couples with scrapper, condi mesmer and thief well due to stealth and them either complimenting the sustain, offering a different damage type or adding in more burst respectively.
Put simply stealth and mobility should be your biggest concern if you want to duo roam. Oh and the lvl 80 boost comes with tanky gear too so maybe look at druid.
You like the norm, so just play plastic boring thief.
Men run necromancer.

This. Druid is the answer. Just one druid is already a pain in the kitten . Two of them is just a nightmare.
You will have mobility, stealth, damage, condi clear, sustain, and you can support each other much better than as a pair of thieves.
Druid, Scrapper and Dragonhunter are the main three you should be considering for group roaming as they don’t really have any exploitable weaknesses. Both Druid and Scrapper have easy access to group stealth so you want at least one of those. All three can deliver lots of damage whilst focusing on their sustain or their attacks incorporate sustain (like Scrapper) which makes them very forgiving, but also a good choice for 2vX scenarios where you actually want to fight and win.
I do not recommend Daredevil for duo roaming. You will have some fights where a Daredevil can’t do anything and you will wish you were playing something else. Also don’t use Reaper because you will just be CC’d and focused. Herald is too risky because the first condi build that comes along will delete you. Berserker is a decent choice but it is a very limited class due to its simplistic design so is easily kited and avoided by competent players – something to bear in mind. As for Chrono and Tempest, they can be very effective in some duo combos but can have the same problem as Daredevil where there will be encounters where you simply can’t do anything, plus they can be kind of unforgiving, especially if you’re playing glassy.
There is also a free bonus that comes with playing druid – everyone will hate you straight away.

Is there any class we dont hate?
Daredevils – condi permastealthers or 5 stompers
Chronos – everyone is condi perplexity
DH – rofltstomp traps triggering from 5km away
Scrapper – blockblockblockblockreflectreflectblockblockreflect
Druid -invoulnblockblockinvoulnlolgone
Berserker – +1000hp, +1000hp, +1000hp, +1000hp
Reaper – +30,000hp
Herald – boom skidmark
Tempest – assume everyone is celestial berserker tanks with lightning overload on 5s cd
Druid will be the more forgiving option.
Druid, thief, mesmer are going to the most complimentary builds to run in small scale with a thief. We run two thieves, one power and one condi. We consistently take on 2-3 times our number usually downing 2+ before scurrying off for a reset.

That’s not technically taking on 2-3 times your numbers, that’s ganking about the same number 2-3 times.

so 2v4 turns into 2v3 cus who ever recieve first gank from 2 thiefs is insta dead.
2 thiefs vs 3 people should be a easy win unless these 3 actually work together cus 99% of people running around in WvW just try to get to a commander and only talk/listen to that specefic person and not the 50 randoms around him.
Daredevil/Daredevil or Daredevil/Druid are the duo combinations I’ve had the hardest time against (looking at how long I survive against them). 3rd would probably be Druid/Druid, but I’ve not seen that very often.
Daredevil/Druid duo, when played right is more like duo plus 1/2 due to the pet.
Druid/Daredevil is posibly the best dual combo in WvW. Druids are immortal in small fights and provide a bit of bonus stealth, and Daredevils can safely move in and out of combat while killing things. Tanky druid is also amazing 1v1, because they are virtually indestructable, and their pets can kill most builds.
