Solo Players
In my opinion for PURE rewards/gold you dont want to be going solo, staying with a zerg and stream rolling (if its a good zerg) everything will net you more XP, more WXP, more rewards and easier completion of some of the daily tasks

It would be nice if armor repair could at least be removed so I don’t have to pay money when I get zerged down while trying to flip a camp or defend a tower.

I can 1Vs1 people, i can sometimes 1Vx people as well, along with taking camps, taking out gaurds, killing Dolyaks
Soloing is viable, I would say more so in lower tiers (yes I am aware there is no tiers). I do fine, I win some, I lose some, I make a profit, I contribute by slapping a yak throughout my travels or by taking a camp.

I mostly do it for the challenge but some reward would be nice I guess.
Getting real tired of BEING FORCED to be in a group to PvP and solo roaming on WvW just isn’t rewarding unless you play the one (out of eight) right profession for it.
Depends what you see as rewarding..
I find it more rewarding to capture some camps on my own and mess up the supply flow of my opponents, although that only yields me little WXP, gold and karma.. Also repairing an attacked keep while the zerg chases the attackers, I find that rewarding..
Knowing I make a difference on my own, the best reward ever! :-)

I played DAOC RVR for years and IMO GW2 WVW is the most solo friendly open world pvp I’ve ever played. There’s plenty to do solo or in small groups and to me its alot of fun.
But I have to agree thakittens not much rewarding in case of WXP gain.
My suggestion for Anet to address this issue:
WXP for attacking or defending objects should just be granted to ANY ACTIVE PLAYER in the whole wvw zone (WXP for player or guard kills stays personal). That way you’re not forced to go with the zerg to maximize WXP gain.

Your definition of an active player is kinda dumb!
A player should be marked as active if he does one of the following in a certain period of time:
- attacks or get damaged by an enemy player or guard
- is reachable + near to an enemy player
- uses/ builds siege or repairs/ upgrades buildings

I am not sure how it is in your server, but you could always pick off zerg stragglers. It works best when there is a big event (like SM fight) and you can just camp between one keep and SM waiting for solos to harass.
